Home in Denver
Description
Spacious, light-filled, home on private ski & swim lakes minutes from downtown & all major arteries--I 70, I 76, I 25, hwy 36. Peaceful, quiet, bucolic location full of fruit trees, flowers, sweet/spicy scents, during the growing season. Lots of wildlife. Winters tend to be mild but when a snow comes and the lakes freeze for a short time, there's ice skating. Safe, gated community with little traffic. No added 11% OCCUPANCY TAX: I'm not inside any city limits but just outside the city limits. The space Comfortable bright bedroom with three full size windows, locking door, chest of drawers, upholstered chair (or antique rocking chair)--and pillow top queen brass bed, new pillows & comforter, satin finish high thread count,or microfiber sheets, or wicking sheets for those with a preference, large closet with new hangers. A full size air bed or a queen size air bed can be added if necessary to give you two beds. Full bathroom with tub and with various settings shower head next door. This is in my walkout basement with high ceilings and many windows. Full size windows on the west and north. Directly behind the huge common room shared by the three Airbnb bedrooms on the north is the back patio and small private lake (not a ski lake). From the front door of the home you can see the biggest the ski lake across the street on the south and the mountains on the west. High speed internet & cable, large closet, wifi, great views, spacious yard, A/C and evaporative cooler, humidifier. Washer/dryer, microwave, stove, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee/espresso maker, electric kettle, juicer, crock pot, convection oven, gas grill. Community tennis courts and badminton/basketball court, kiddie park. Near parks/recreation, shopping, museums, zoo, art galleries, concert venues, and suburbs. With bus lines, light rail, UBER & Lyft access. Across from Baker State Park & Reservoir. Boulder and mountains close by. Guest access In the downstairs common room outside the guest bedrooms which are across the room on the corners of the home is a smart TV and cable box. There's one other TV cable box available for one of the smart tvs in the bedrooms. Another bedroom has a smart TV. Because we often have more than one set of guests, sometimes with a friendly dog or two, or a cat, and our love of gardening, the home will be clean but rarely as neat as a pin. There's parking in front of the house on a quiet gated street. Motion detector lights all around the home outside. During your stay I'm sure someone in the house will be glad to advise you and help out. We're all friendly and informed about Denver and Colorado. There's no maid service, so be sure to clean up after yourself so that everyone can enjoy the space. I have various cleaning supplies, furniture oil, upholstery and carpet cleaner supplies around. Also brooms, dust pans, vacuum, and a Bissell carpet cleaner s for use by all. Other things to note I have a friendly Afghan hound and a friendly cat upstairs. My eight year old Afghan hound named Melchior is the third incarnation of my dog Balthazar, or Baltho, written about in my popular memoir, Baltho, The Dog Who Owned a Man (Thomas Ramey Watson). And Noir his cat is the incarnation of Baltho's best bud Figaro/Figgy. Both love attention. Melkie loves to run to the front door to greet people coming or going. Neither is supposed to go into the guest areas downstairs. A third generation Coloradan, of pioneer/homesteader stock, I'm very interested in the soul realm, having written a great deal about my experiences. Also have two books of poetry in print, Love Threads and The Necessity of Symbols. And a novel, Reading the Signs: A Paranormal Love Story. You can buy autographed copies from me (they're on the table in the foyer).
