Stay on an actual Civil War battlefield at the Historic Rosemont Estate, nestled in a private, wooded setting. The Stonewall Jackson Guest Room is located in the Rutherford B. Hayes Guest House - a six-bedroom, six-bath guest house, where each bedroom has a minimum of a queen-size bed & private bath. Enjoy full access to the kitchen, living room, and laundry room. Walk the 60-acre private, park-like grounds of an authentic Civil War battlefield site on the Historic Rosemont Estate where, for two days, Union troops, under the command of Major General Philip H. Sheridan, fought Confederate troops under the command of Lieutenant General Jubal A. Early during the Battle of Berryville on September 3rd through 4th, 1864. The Historic Rosemont Manor has a rich history of famous guests including seven U.S. presidents, Hollywood movie stars, and world-renowned figures such as Albert Einstein and Charles Lindbergh. All bedrooms in the Rutherford B. Hayes Guest House are named after famous officers that fought in the Battle of Rosemont (also known as the Battle of Berryville) or had a major presence in the Northern Shenandoah Valley during the time of the battle.
