Domaine de Bourgville
Description
In a private park of a former gentleman of the eighteenth century, the domain of Bourgville offers you the room "Tilleul" located on the first floor of a converted stable, which we have redone in a contemporary and rustic form. South of Loudun Domaine de Bourgville is located near Monts sur Guesnes a small village with all commerce. We are close to Chinon (29km) and Richelieu (15km) and for a more futuristic visit, Futuroscope is located 38km away. The space Bourgville was originally a medieval fortress, a defence element of the Loudunaise region. In the 18th century, it was owned by the Marquis de Persan and sold in 1791 to a bourgeois of Paris, secretary to King Louis XVI, which owed him guillotine in Paris on 16 May 1794. From 1816 Bourgville was redeveloped and enlarged. The large building was rented to the administration from January 1, 1833 to December 31, 1871 as a gendarmerie on horseback to replace the "Chêne Vert" hotel located at the crossroads of Rue Saint Avertin with Rue du Château. This house belongs to the same family of notables (notaries, doctors, mayors) for two centuries : the Gravier-Bernier. Other things to note Yannick and Olivier offer you, breakfast at 8.50 EUR/adult and dinner at our table d 'hôtes (rates consult us), gourmet seasonal cuisine, which highlights local products.
