We keep an actual keyring with the side/door key on a keyring by that side door hanging on the coat-hanger on the wall there if you find using the side door more convenient. Please remember to drop it off here as you leave. To lock the sidedoor behind you, just use the key you'll find on that coathanger near the sidedor. To lock the smart lock behind you just close the door and push the 'schlage' button on the top of the keypad. Super easy, you'll hear it whir and then close behind you.
