Ruby's Rest

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon. The space The Rubys Rest cottage is located in the back yard of our property, in close proximity to our main house. The cottage is one room. The cottage has a full size bed and a bunk bed (bed space for 4 people). The cottage has clean sheets and towels, along with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, small smart tv (no cable or local channels, but you can sign into your own Hulu account, Netflix, etc.), and dvd player (about a dozen or so of my favorite dvds are available). LOTS of interesting books to read. There is a window AC unit for the spring-fall and baseboard electric heat, which does a great job of keeping the cottage warm even on the coldest of nights. The bathroom is spacious and has a stand in shower, with hot and cold water. Shampoo and soap provided. There is a covered deck attached to the cottage. We have a chicken coop in the back corner of the yard chickens. there are a handful of cats meandering about and we have two dogs. Also, we share the backyard with my dad (he lives in a small house in the back corner of the yard). Enclosed deck (no AC or Heat)that guests can use (still putting some final touches on it) We are dog friendly and don’t charge extra, but maybe bring a blanket from home if your dog likes to snuggle at night. No hard feelings if you want to sweep up a bit before you leave, too, if your dog is a big shedder. We have been renting the cottage out since 2008 and enjoy meeting the wonderful people who stay with us. We try and keep costs as economical as possible for our guests. We are super easy going and will be sure to make you feel at ease here. All smiles - no worries. Guest access Wifi, enclosed deck (with window panes- still putting final touches on it), gas grill, washer/dryer (ours in main house, but we can do laundry for you, no problem), deck has hot/cold water sink, toaster oven, hot plate, and utensils. Other things to note We may or not be here when you arrive (we are often out hiking). Nonetheless, the cottage will be unlocked and ready for you. Simply park in the driveway (anywhere), take the wooden walkway around the side of the house the back yard, where you will see the cottage. Easy peasey.
