Sweet new 2 bedroom cottage in Accord NY. Located in a quiet country setting, this home is light and bright with lots of sunny windows. The cottage has a huge deck with charcoal BBQ grill, and a fire pit. Minutes to Stone Ridge or High Falls. Close to Inness, Westwind Orchard, and Arrowood Brewery. Very Special. The space The Hickory Cottage is a comfortable space that is well suited for up to 4 guests. The light colored bamboo flooring, vaulted ceiling, many windows, and a 12 foot glass door in the living room contribute to the airy feel of the house, and makes the transition between inside and outdoors almost seamless. The huge cedar deck is another facet adding to the outdoor living space and is perfect for a BBQ, dining, socializing or napping. You'll enjoy sitting around the fire pit and being mesmerized by the flames as you sit beneath the stars. The house has a full kitchen, complete with microwave and dishwasher for your convenience, as well as a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Guests will have access to entire home. Parking available for 2 cars. A self check in system allows for arrival anytime after 3:00 PM. Outside lights come on automatically at dusk for those arriving later in the day. Specific check in details provided upon booking. Check out is by 11:00 AM unless other arrangements have been made in advance. . The neighborhood is very much country, deer are in abundance as are many bird species. The land behind the cottage is environmentally protected and remains forever wild. That said, the Stone Ridge Town Centre is just a few minutes away, complete with grocery store, pharmacy, wine shop and more. Hiking and biking enthusiasts will appreciate the close proximity to the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park. Cross country skis and snow shoes are available for rental locally and can be used on the trails at the park and the preserve. Mohonk Mountain house provides an incredible ice skating pavilion that is available to day guests guests. (for a fee). Browse the bountiful local farm stands and farmers markets. Check out the High Falls Flea Market or visit the town of New Paltz, a 20 minute ride, or Woodstock, about 30 minutes away. Spend the afternoon skating at the local roller rink, or watch a few laps of auto racing at the Accord Speedway several miles away. Looking to commune with nature? Spend the day fishing, kayaking or swimming in nearby streams. Just looking for peace and quiet? Spend the day on the private deck with book in hand. The many restaurants in the area offer an abundance of meal choices to satisfy everyone taste. The Rosendale Theater is just 15 minutes away, and there are also plenty of music venues and other entertainment options locally. You will need a car to get to the cottage and around the area as public transportation is very limited.
