All Surfaces are wiped down with beach and water, such as the floor, all door knobs, all surfaces, the bathroom, and bleach in laundry. We supply hand sanitizer, and plenty of toilet paper. It is the perfect place for your family to be for a safe zone. Staying in our lodge to get away from large cities is also a great vacation opportunity too. The best way to stay away from the flu is to go where the population is low and against the national forest by the river. It is the perfect get away. This place is very comfortable and reasonably priced to stay, and it sleeps the most people in the Kern River Valley. We have a hiking trail across from the house that you can hike along Cannel Creek to a water fall and oasis, or back pack into the wilderness. If you like to whitewater raft.. This place is perfect for your large group and have everyone under one roof! Looking for a rafting company! Thanks for the comments Andranik, 1. We have gone out and got ALL NEW curtains for all the bedrooms and the bathrooms that needed curtains! Thanks for that input and we now have curtains in all the bedrooms and bathrooms for more privacy. They look amazing! 2. We advise maid service to pay attention to details in cleaning, whip down cobwebs. The spots have been removed from the carpet cleaned.. I have been on travel for 2 months and had no idea of any stains on the carpet . When I got home and saw the stains I got rid of the spots and cleaned the carpet immediately. The maid service has been advised. 3. I will remind Maid service to make sure the previous folks left the cupboards, pot and pans and knives are clean and orderly. 4. We purchased ALL NEW bedding for the lodge and it looks great. Thanks for letting me know it was time for a refresh. We always look at our reviews to advise us on what we can do to make the lodge and the experience better. We now have new carpet and padding in the living room and master bedroom. 10/14/2022 Replaced rails and felt on Pool table. We also go new billiard balls made of aramith for better performance. 10/21/2022 1. Purchased new Stove. Our new stove has an oven and and option for the oven to be an Air Fryer. 11/23/2022 1. Replaced furniture in the living room. 7/19/24 1. Replaced BB-Q grill with a new one. 2. Replaced refrigerator with new one. 4/22/25 Kristi, Thanks for your comments. At your request we replaced all our pots and pans, and got new dishes. Will be getting a large TV for the master bedroom and we are finishing the basement. And at your request we added a large TV in the master bedroom. Also. In our welcome letter and here in other details of the lodge we say we don't supply darts anymore. Kids were throwing them at the walls. We fixed the dart holes and repainted the wall when we finished the basement and are adding a 4th bedroom that will have 5 extra beds. Replaced all our kitchen pots and pans and new utensils and dishes. And I talked to our maid service to pay attention to the cleaning details you mentioned. 4/6/25 Remodeled basement to get ready to add the 4th bedroom to hold 5 beds. It will be called the Bunk House. 5-1-25 Purchased yet another new Oven/stove for the house and replaced the refrigerator again. 7-6-25 Ken, Thanks for letting us know about that fur ball running around. We caught him and let him go outside. To folks coming to the lodge with large groups...... The lodge has 5 doors to access the lodge. The egress/ingress of the doors especially with a large group might be inviting an extra guest to sneak in. Keeping the doors closed is recommended. Ants love food, make sure to clean up after meals and make sure food is not on the floor. 7-7-25 Purchased 5 new Double Beds to be added to the 4th bedroom called "The Bunk House" down in the back of the basement with tow windows. Along with that they are completely outfitted with new pillows, new sheets, new blankets and comforters. We now officially have 13 beds in the lodge. 7-8-25 Purchased a new coffee machine. Purchased some beautiful colored wine glasses. 10-9-15 On the request of two guests we have updated our patio furniture on the back porch. Enjoy! Guest access Besides access to Kern River Rafting and the Sequoia National Forest, the whole house is available to our guests as needed. Riverkern Lodge is walking distance to the Kern River with your pole and is perfect for the fly fisherman's get away. Other things to note We have a private beach on the Kern River that is walking distance from the log home. The water source comes from Mt. Whitney and is very pristine. We also have a wonder hiking trail that leads up to Cannell Meadow Trail, and goes into the Sequoia National Forest. You can even backpack pack into the high country from Kernville Manor. Property Management available. The lodge has a large swamp cooler. We have a dart board, but bring your own darts if you want to play. Kids are throwing darts at the wall, so if you want to inquire why we don't supply darts anymore that is why. We also have a pinball game that is not working at this time due to guests rough handling it. You may inquire why it is off line.
