Enjoy this Cold Mountain Getaway nestled in the trees. Our guest suite offers unbeatable views of Cold Mountain and peace and quiet, you'll only hear the waterfall beside the house. We are located in the Springdale Country Club Estates, so you have easy access to a well known local golf course. You are 20 minutes from beautiful Waynesville, NC and 40 minutes from all that Asheville has to offer. The space Our Cold Mountain Getaway offers a huge front porch, living room, bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Enjoy our Western themed space, filled with our memories from travels out West. We've carefully furnished the space with comfortable, overstuffed furniture where you can enjoy our cool mountain evenings by the gas fireplace. There's plenty of storage in the bedroom, you'll have your own walk in closet, and we provide high qualities linens for the bed and bath. We have just installed a whole house air purification system to complete our goal of having a totally clean environment for our guests. There's a coffee bar in the main living space, and a small refrigerator for you to keep your local beer cold after a round of golf at Springdale. Springdale Country Club is open to the public and offers golf at reasonable rates for this area. The course has just completed a major renovation and the course looks beautiful and challenging. A new clubhouse is planned for opening soon. What you'll be most impressed with is the view from every hole on the course. Our place is only 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can drive up to the Pisgah Inn in 18 minutes for an unbeatable view for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We are basically in the middle of the Pisgah National Forest where there are hundreds of miles of trails and dozens of waterfalls to explore. Drive the other direction, and you'll reach Waynesville, NC in 20 minutes, the gateway to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. If you love art, beer, or adventurous dining, take the short drive over to Asheville, 'Beer City USA', and see what all the hype is about. While you are there, take an afternoon and visit the Biltmore House and learn how George Vanderbilt set the stage for the beautiful forests you see here in Western North Carolina. The memory you will take with you though, will be the peaceful front porch with the unbeatable view of Cold Mountain while listening to the creek and waterfall. We do have a no pets policy. This space in intended for 2 people only. We look forward to your visit! Guest access Guests have access to the guest suite only, including living room, bedroom, bathroom and deck. Other things to note Cell phone coverage for all providers can be limited at times in this area. We use the wifi advance calling on our phones and calls go through without any problems. The .2 mile lane to our home is one lane (with turnouts), so be cautious driving around the two curves.
