Our home is located at the heart of Silicon Valley, 25 miles from San Francisco and 15 minutes away from Stanford. Perfect place if you want to be at the center of things while comfortably lodging at a spacious and calm home. The home is sunny, bright, and comfortable. It has a great view of the San Francisco bay area, which you can enjoy throughout the house, from the master bedroom to the laundry. It has heating and air conditioning as well as three working fireplaces. There is a beautiful garden with lounging areas and a field for taking in the wonderful California weather. The house is fully equipped. There is a great barbecue in the backyard, hi speed wifi and all the necessary appliances for your convenience. There are two living rooms, one of them with Cable TV and DVD. Parking is on the property, no need to park on the street. We respect our guests' privacy, but if you need any help on the house or the area, we are available to help. We have young children and can also offer tips on children-oriented activities in San Francisco and the bay. Amidst a calm, green neighborhood, the house is located close to one of the main highways connecting all of Silicon Valley, at less than 5 minutes away. The downtown of Redwood City is 5-10 minutes away, with movie theaters, restaurants, supermarkets, and all kinds of stores. We enjoy hiking and if you do too, there is a natural reserve walking distance from the house. It has great hiking trails overlooking the bay, and it is quiet and safe. The Caltrain (local commuter train) station is 10 minutes away, connecting to all of Silicon Valley. There are also buses that connect to neighboring Palo Alto, Stanford and other adjacent towns. The closest bus stop is at a walking distance of 15-20 minutes. If you are a larger group, we have a cottage next door, which is also available for rent, and listed separately on airbnb. It has two additional beds, a king and a double, one full bathroom and a fully furnished kitchen. We have young children, so some games and gear can be made available for you - just let us know and we'll prepare the house and yard so your children can also get the most of their stay.
