Welcome to Mill House, our modern guest home tucked away on ten acres of tranquility. Freshly remodeled in 2019 with comfort and style, you'll find all the conveniences of home without any of the stress. Inside, you'll find polished concrete floors, lights on dimmers, air conditioning, and a stocked kitchen. Outside, you'll view horses, hawks, and turkeys from the privacy of your back patio. Stroll down to the seasonal creek with coffee in hand or build a fire and watch the stars come out. The space *Currently only available for 30 night stays or longer* Completely rebuilt in 2014 and refreshed again in 2019, our unique guest house is stylish, simple, and uncluttered. The space features abundant natural light, polished concrete floors, clean and comfortable furnishings, inspiring art, wool rugs, privacy curtains and blackout shades, luxurious bath towels and high thread-count cotton sheets. There is a stackable washer/dryer, brand new ducted central heat/air system, stainless appliances w/gas cooktop, dishwasher, and commercial-grade Jenn-Aire fridge w/auto ice maker. Recessed lights throughout home are on dimmers for great ambiance. We've also got ceiling fans from The Modern Fan Company in the living room and both bedrooms. The living area features a large and comfortable leather couch from Article, mid-century Eames lounger replica, 48" wall-mounted smart tv with wifi and bluetooth capabilities. There's also a wireless speaker system w/easy pairing to your iPhone or other streaming devices. The larger bedroom has one queen-sized bed with a comfortable new in 2019 top-rated Costco mattress. There is also a good-sized solid wood white stained Ikea dresser and live plants. The room features a sliding glass door with access to the patio and pastoral views. There is a closet with ample room for hanging clothes and storing items, as well as an iron and small ironing board. There are privacy curtains on the slider and blackout blinds on the windows for those vacationers wishing to sleep in. The smaller bedroom features a new Ikea pine bunk-bed and matching dresser. When needed, we can set up an extra mattress to be stored under the bunk for additional guests. The room features a closet with hanging storage and also has blackout shades for a good nights sleep. The back patio has lots of space to sprawl and relax. It is peaceful with mature bamboo plants, views of majestic oak trees and our private back pasture. We have comfortable lounge chairs and a fire pit set up with a ready supply of wood should you wish to warm up on a brisk evening with a glass of wine or a beer. You'll see a big sky full of stars and hear a chorus of birds, crickets, horses, and frogs while enjoying the back patio setting. You are also free to meander through the pasture on a trail that leads to our own seasonal creek which typically runs from November to June. Our property sits on 10 acres at the end of a paved private drive. You will receive a gate code and have your own gated access. You'll have your own private parking with abundant room for your vehicles, RV, boat, or trailer. If you'd like, we are happy to give guidance regarding the local area attractions and our favorite restaurants, coffee shops, trails, and attractions. Just let us know if you need anything at all. Millville is an easy 15-minute drive to Redding, and perfectly situated just 37 miles to the entrance to Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park. You'll also be within 30 miles of AVA-designated Inwood and Manton Valleys, having dozens of vineyards and wine-tasting options from which to choose. Anselmo Vineyards, just a 15 minute drive from our house, is our personal favorite place in all of Shasta County- the shaded patio overlooking the creek, pond, and pastoral views combined with the exceptional culinary experience are not to be missed! You'll need your own car or method of transportation. We are an easy 10-15 minute drive to Costco/Target on Dana Dr. and many other shops and restaurants in Redding. Our main residence and yards sit about 100-200 feet away from our guest house, allowing ample privacy. You may occasionally hear the ambient sounds of our children (ages 16, 14, 12, 8), but normally things are quiet and serene. Our property sits privately at the end of the road and we back up to a large ranch, providing even more privacy. Guest access Our property sits on 10 acres at the end of a paved private drive. You will receive a gate code and have your own gated access. You'll have your own private parking with abundant room for your vehicles, RV, boat, or trailer. We have a Tesla wall charger that we have for our personal use, but we will make that available to our guests who have a Tesla and would like to charge. Other things to note Our main residence and yards sit about 100-200 feet away from our guest house, allowing ample privacy. You may occasionally hear the ambient sounds of our children (ages 16, 14, 12, 8), but normally things are quiet and serene. Our property sits privately at the end of the road and we back up to a large ranch, providing even more privacy. Additionally, we have a Tesla charger in the detached garage where this guest house is located, thus you may hear the garage door open or close every couple of days when we need to charge it overnight.
