Hikers, Mountain Bikers, and Adventurers; Come relax in our mid-century modern guest house that borders the Pisgah National Forest! Y'all, we have such a great yard! We have an apple orchard, garden, a fire pit, private hiking and mtn biking trails straight out of the backyard and into the national forest, along with a kids bike pump track. Luxurious amenities throughout the house along with vintage books, games, and record player. We welcome guests from all walks of life! Adventure awaits! The space Our tiny house is 550 sq ft and best suited for a couple or a small family. It is located behind our family's home on our 3.6 acre mini homestead. We have apple trees, blueberry bushes, grapes vines, a large garden space, and hang out areas around the property, including a fire pit. There is a hiking/biking trail in the backyard that leads into the Pisgah National Forest. The house features one bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a sofa and a twin sleeping chair, along with an indoor hammock for sleeping or reading. It features a full bathroom with a tub and bidet, and a fully stocked kitchen. Sit on the porch while you drink your coffee and listen to hundreds of birds or the record player through the window! (Vintage records provided!) Enjoy a picnic or beverage on an outdoor rug in the large yard, jump on the trampoline, swing in a hammock, or watch your kids ride their bikes on the kids pump track, bring bikes! Explore and play in the Pisgah National Forest right from the hiking and biking trails in our backyard. Our location is great for adventuring! Only three miles from the Linville Gorge and Linville Falls, 1.5 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway, 9 miles to Grandfather Mountain State Park and the Linn Cove Viaduct. Close to Linville Caverns, breathtaking cliff hikes such as Hawksbill, Table Rock, Little Lost Cove Cliffs, and swimming holes such as Upper Creek Falls, Harper Falls, Huntfish Falls, and Wilson Creek, recreation areas like Brown Mtn OHV, Sugar Mountain for skiing, and only 1.5 miles to Jonas Ridge snow tubing.. We hope to have you relaxing and adventuring with us soon! Dogs are considered on a case by case basis with a *$50 non-refundable pet fee and must be approved at the time of booking! We do not allow aggressive dogs as our kids, our cat, and our own dog play in the yard. Dogs must not be left at the house all day while you are out exploring unless they are crated. (Your dog would rather be with you). Guest access Guests will have access to our private trail that borders the Pisgah National Forest. Guests will also be able to use our kids pump track, hammock swing, and trampoline at own risk. Dogs are allowed on a case by case basis only, please inquire while making your reservation. There is a $50 pet fee. Our fire pit may be used by permission only if we are home (High Winds can develop fast on the ridge!) Other things to note For an additional fee, we would also be happy to run a shuttle for you for hiking and biking excursions.
