Stay in a modern, spacious two-floor farmhouse with a private kitchen and bathroom on a sheep farm. There is a wood stove for heat when needed during the colder months. The farm house includes one upstairs bedroom with a bed and two floor mattresses available when needed. There is more sleeping space if sleeping bags are brought by guests. Upstairs is a bathroom with a shower attached to the claw foot tub. Several large closets are there for use. Downstairs includes a fully functioning kitchen attached to a dining room/ living room space. There is a half bathroom available off of the kitchen and mudroom. We ask that shoes are removed upon entering the farm house and suggest slippers. When the yurt is not occupied the sauna may be requested for use by house guests. The farm can be toured as long as gates are closed whenever walking around. Animals are rotated and may be found grazing around the farm house at times. Appropriate shoes are recommended. We are available for farm tours time permitting and enjoy spending time with guests whenever it is desired. We have several neighbors above us on the hill but you will generally be unaware of them. Hiking along the main road and off connecting branches may bring you walking past their small homes. The pasture may be walked if gates are kept closed. Biking is great on the dirt and paved roads close to the farm as is walking. Town is 3 miles away and can be accessed by biking, car or walking. Be prepared for a large hill on the return to the farm from town. We have many animals walking around so please bring appropriate shoes for walking with that in mind. There is always manure somewhere. We also have a trampoline that may be used if there is constant supervision from parents with children unless we state otherwise. Please do not let your children chase the sheep if they are in the yard grazing.
