Nestled on Lake Allatoona, the Carriage House adjoins Corp of Engineers land. A quick 1-minute stroll leads to my dock, where you can fish, swim, kayak, or bring a small boat. The Lake Point Sports Complex is just 20 minutes away, with a pleasant drive via back roads for visiting athletes. After a long day on the fields, enjoy the tranquility of this serene setting. Winter offers a peaceful ambiance with lovely light. Very private, surrounded by quiet woods. The space Listen to the birds, crickets, and frogs from this carriage house located on a quiet, wooded setting adjacent to Lake Allatoona. The Carriage House is completely self contained with a queen size bed, furniture, stove, refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, and dishes. WI-FI connectivity and flat screen TV included with OnDemand and most premium channels. I've added a sofa that converts to a single bed for one. A dedicated washer and dryer are provided and located in the garage below. Outside is a deck with a grill for cookouts, and the deck has a partial view of the lake which is only a short walk away. Rental includes use of a dock for swimming and kayaking, (bring your own or use mine). The fall and winter months are also quite nice. Neighborhood fireplaces scent the evenings, the shoreline is accessible for long walks, and the Carriage House is a wonderful place to think, write, be with someone special, or just catch up on your favorite TV programs. The Carriage House is fully insulated, double pane Pella windows & doors with a high capacity heat pump. Beautiful skylights bring the winter light indoors. You will love the Victoria Cottages neighborhood where neighbors ride golf carts around these scenic streets. Located close to shopping, the home is only 22 miles north of Atlanta and 42 miles away from Atlanta Airport. You will have a restful stay in a uncommonly natural environment under a star filled sky. Other things to note Lake Point Sports Complex in Emerson Georgia is a 20 minute ride through back roads. Supermarkets are close by. No need to stay at a big "chain motel" and eat fast food. The big summer weekends of Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day are especially festive. Fall foliage is amazing. The water level of the lake is lowered in the winter. This provides the opportunity for extended walks along an otherwise inaccessible shoreline. Winter sunsets are unreal.
