Take care of yourself in the 3-pc bathroom w/soaker tub. Cook’n eat in an easy kitchen w/full fridge. Peace punctuates the flow to the sleeping area where you'll wake refreshed in a wonderful bed. It's a comfy, not crowded, fun space close to Mt Shasta. The space We live in a Mountain Haven in a small college town community. Our close proximity to the freeway makes travel easy on/off to hiking, swimming, fishing, skiing, climbing, mineral springs and snow play. Having fresh air and pure water is just a bonus. Just 2 steps up from the side driveway places you in the courtyard with seating and a fire pit that is near the curved steps to the White front door. Smoke-free guests only. No smoking, no incense, no marijauna, no smudging. Sorry. Dove’nDogwood is a comfortable, liveable apartment with the needed amenities. My guests are loving it. This graceful space has: 1) A sitting area with a sofa and 2 rockers, a swivel TV (with HDMI cord) to watch movies from your computer or fire stick; there is a Roku stick provided ($100 if missing). The sofa is also a daybed twin sleeper with mattress cover, sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag in the kitchen bottom drawers. 2) A Kitchen area with 3-in-One coffee, mini oven and grill; induction IKEA cooktop; full refrigerator; built in storage, cleaning/broom closet, amenities to be able to cook and eat at the table. 3) A sleeping area with a repurposed Armoire Closet, a multifunctional table/desk; a queen platform bed with storage underneath. 4) A Full Bathroom with soaker tub, sink and toilet. 5) An outdoor courtyard with a fire pit and outdoor furniture for seating, and eating. Extra fire wood is in our courtyard on the left of the turquoise front door, inside the double gates. Help yourself. 6) A Washer/Dryer combo. Use ONLY non-chlorine bleach. 7) A child’s play area. 8) A Baby cradle or crib with sheets on demand. 9) Designer tile, paintings and layout. Bring your work with you or leave it at home. Make moments matter. Enjoy s’mores while chatting around the fire pit or play games around the table. Hang your coat and stash your shoes and hat and recharge. Guest access You’ll have street parking and full/private access to the apartment from the private front courtyard entrance through the side gate that is on the left side of the house. While you are our guests, no one except your registered group will share this flat’s space that we designed to exceed your expectations. HOW MANY DOES DOVEnDOGWOOD SLEEP? The Queen Bed sleeps 2. There is also a sofa sleeper that sleeps 1 with bedding in the middle bottom kitchen drawer. There is also a sleeping bag above the broom closet. WHO IS DovenDogwood FOR? It is ideal for a small family, a couple, singles, or a friends and family meet up. Bring your newborn with you and request a cradle or baby bed. HOW IS IT HEATED and COOLED? We have forced air summer and winter. The controls are in the main house, but you can regulate the amount of air by opening or closing the ceiling vents. There is also a fan. WHAT IS A SELF-SERVE BREAKFAST? Our guests recognize the value of thoughtful amenities that allow you to cook and bake your own self-serve meals. You bring the groceries. We provide pancake/waffle mix, spices, salt and pepper, oil, sugar, and coffee beans plus pots, pans, dishes and utensils. HOW CLOSE IS THE FREEWAY? The freeway is nearby. Once you close the door and windows it can barely be heard. To us the freeway is a constant calming sound. It provides easy on and off to the various attractions of the area. WHAT IS THE COURTYARD LIKE? It is calming, pleasant, and appealing to the senses. The 14x12 walled space has a private fire pit with seating just outside the front door. We will help you get a fire going in the fire pit. Just ask. WHAT ARE WINTERS LIKE? Winter months are November through February. Nights are colder than days. Usually the sun comes out and it warms a bit even in winter. There are only a couple of times a year that we have severe winter storms. We rarely have to put on chains. Always carry chains when you come to visit in the winter as we live in the mountains. The freeway is frequently plowed in case of snow and rarely gets completely closed down. Our road is a main street and regularly gets plowed during a snow. We have a snow blower and can help if you need it. Just ask. Other things to note City and county taxes are included in the cleaning fee. There are no fees/taxes on arrival.
