If are looking for comfy home with a stunning ocean view within walking distance of Yachats restaurants and shops, our house is for you! Watch the waves roll in, the sun set, the birds fly by, and occasionally whales and sea lions from our comfy home. Hunt for agates on the smelt sand beach and explore the tide pools just in front of the house, walk down the nearby 804 trail to an 8-mile sandy beach, or head to nearby Cape Perpetual for a hike. The space Overview - Barbara's beach house has 3 bedrooms, an open living room/dining area/kitchen area, and two full baths. The master bedroom is large with a king bed, couch, and office space/desk. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom, the “kite room”, has a double bed. The laundry room is in the garage. Dog-friendly - we welcome up to two well-behaved dogs. In fact, Barbara, our beloved and first red dobie, prompted us to head to the coast so often, we finally bought this house and named it after her. There is a small dog-run that corrals Lola, our current red dobie. Guests with limited mobility who use a wheelchair – Although our house does not comply with all ADA regulations, there are some accommodations. The walkway from the parking area to a ramp leading to the back door is level. The inside is all one level, the master bedroom and bathroom have 36” doorways, and the master bathroom has a small roll-under sink. There is a walk-in shower with a low lip, and there are grip bars in the tub and shower, a grip bar on one side the master bath toilet, and there is “shower” chair. The floors are hardwood and tile, with several low-pile area rugs. Fully equipped kitchen – The fully equipped kitchen has all the small appliances, pots & pans, utensils, and dishware needed to cook for friends and family. Wi-Fi & TV – We have Wi-Fi and 2 TVs that connect to the Internet. We do not have cable. We do pick up broadcast stations like PBS, NBC, and CBS, but quality can vary, especially in stormy weather. Parking - There is parking for 3 cars, one in the garage. There is a Level II electric vehicle charger in the garage. Toys – There is a supply of games, puzzles, books, kites and other toys for kids and grown-ups. Guest access You will have full use of the house. The key will be waiting for you in a lock box. Other things to note • We do not allow parties, weddings, or other gatherings at the house. A non-overnight visitor or two is fine. • RV parking is not allowed at the house due to City of Yachats strict vacation rental regulations. • For those with small children - there is no fence between the house and the ocean. • Small dogs might escape from the dog-run. • The rocky, smelt sand beach (tiny pebbles), in front of the house requires a scramble down about 12 feet of 3’ boulders. • Yachats does not have a gas station – the closest gas stations are 10 and 30 miles away.
