Secluded Palouse cottage-The Bunkhouse

The Bunkhouse, our secluded Palouse cottage, began as a living quarters for farm hands. Completely renovated, it now offers guests quiet country lodging with close proximity (about 20 min) to Moscow, Pullman, Lewiston and Clarkston. Wander around the 7 acre bird habitat out the back door (might see our local deer and moose!). Enjoy morning coffee in the private tree swing and a fire pit for those chilly evenings. Spiral stairs connect the open bedroom/entertaining area to the kitchen and bath. The space Our closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away so its pretty quiet here, except for the owls, song birds and coyotes of course. Guest access The seven acre bird habitat has walking paths which you're encouraged to explore. The habitat was taken out of farming in 1995 and in conjunction with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, was replanted with a large wind break and plantings that offer cover and food for birds. Since its inception we have watched increasing numbers of birds return and nest. Deer have also declared their ownership along with seasonal Moose visits. Other things to note We have an HD tv with Hulu, YouTube and other streaming platforms. Or, hook up the VHS/DVD player and watch movies old school! 😁
