Welcome to Memphis - home of the Blues. Our home in the suburbs has an entire upstairs--2 spacious BRs w/queen beds & a 3rd room w/daybed & trundle. You'll have a private bathroom, library for relaxing with sofas, books & games; let us know if you need kitchen space. We only host one person/group at a time so you won't be sharing the space with others, but we live downstairs. Please let us know in your request who’s coming and the purpose of your trip. We do not host local Memphis residents. The space We are delighted to welcome people from all over the world. My husband and I live in the suburb of Cordova in the eastern part of Memphis, just down the street from Shelby Farms--a nature conservancy with 4500 acres of green space,with trails, playground, picnic area, horseback riding, a herd of bison, and lakes. We are within a 30 minute drive of anywhere you want to go, including Graceland or downtown to the Mississippi River or Beale Street. The street our subdivision is on goes all the way to downtown for easy access. Other Memphis sights you might want to see are St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Sun Studio, the Lorraine Motel and Civil Rights Museum, our world-class zoo, the Pink Palace Museum, the Pyramid (which houses Bass Pro), Stax Museum of American Soul Music, National Ornamental Metal Museum. Guest access Entire upstairs accessed by stairs just inside front door; front yard with bench; backyard with patio table and chairs; books, games, puzzles, couches, table & chairs in the library. The TV room has a coffee maker, small refrigerator and microwave. The whole upstairs is yours. Let us know if you would like kitchen access. During your stay We'll interact as much or as little as you like and you can text or call. We will have information for you about things to do and see in Memphis, as well as a number of restaurant menus and suggestions. Other things to note You will have a large private bathroom with double sinks and tub/shower. All towels and sheets provided. We can often be flexible about check-in and check-out times. We offer coffee and snack bars.
