The Rockland Talbot House is inspected several times a year by various entities to ensure we continue to provide outstanding guest experiences; luxury amenities and appointments; cleanliness to the highest of standards; and compliance with life safety codes. We hold a current license with both the State of Maine and the City of Rockland. We value our guests’ safety. Each guest will be given their own keys to their individual guest suite and a personal remote access code to the outside doors. We utilize security cameras and keep outside doors locked at all times for the privacy and safety of our guests. The property also has a full sprinkler system, and fire, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm systems that are monitored 24 hours a day. The space This king room, one of the largest in the Rockland Talbot house, features a beautiful antique king bed. Its décor is a tapestry of rich navy, gold and claret colors. The room has 12 foot ceilings and both oversized windows, with natural light from the east and north, are dressed in custom window treatments and black-out panels. There is a lovely desk area and nice seating near the fireplace. The large private attached bath offers a heated floor, fluffy robes, Gilchrist and Soames bath products (replenished daily), a vanity with make-up mirror, ample storage, and a whirlpool tub with double shower heads. We provide complimentary high-speed internet, in room heat and air-conditioning, a flat screen TV (smart TV), a working fireplace, plenty of modern electrical outlets, bedside reading lights and privacy locks. Your nightly rate also includes daily housekeeping service; access to a 24 hour guest pantry area with microwave, refrigerator, freezer and ice; morning juice and coffee service, daily homemade breakfast and homemade pie and ice cream; off-street parking and assistance to help you plan your stay. Areas include: the Grand Parlor (common television, jigsaw puzzle, game area and comfy sitting area in front of the fireplace); Guest Pantry area; Sunroom; Dining Room; Side Porch and 2nd floor Library. The Guest Pantry area has a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses and coffee maker for guest use. It is stocked with an assortment of teas, coffee, sodas, ice and water. It is available to guests 24 hours a day and the best part is you don’t have to do the dishes! This is also where you can find our homemade pie and ice cream to enjoy! The Rockland Talbot House offers private, off-street parking on the property for all of our guests. We value our guests’ safety. This means that our guests can sleep well knowing their safety is valued and protected. The building has been recently renovated such that all of our electric wiring is new and up to code (not unsafe knob and tube); stairs and egresses are life-safety compliant; the building is completely hard wired with interconnected smoke and carbon monoxide detectors; emergency lighting and signage is available in case of an event and the owners reside immediately next door. This property is not managed by an out of town Management Company but by the owners of the property who are professional hospitality hosts. Because of our legal compliance and status, we can offer our guests a complimentary homemade breakfast as part of the room rate.
