This is a 1,800 sqft, downstairs suite with kitchenette (we allow use of the full kitchen-ask in advance). Shoot pool, watch TV, play board games, toss a frisbee in the yard, and soak in the view! Perfect for a family or group who enjoy hanging out together between adventures. We live upstairs but give you full privacy. Well behaved pets welcome. $25/pet, two pet maximum. Two private bedrooms and a family room area provides several sleeping options. Each room has a stunning view. You have the full bath downstairs and a half bath upstairs. Private rooms include a vanity with mirror. Our home is quiet and comfortable and decorated with historic photos and Coca Cola memorabilia. There is a pool table and kitchenette (sink, small fridge, coffee pot, toaster, griddle and microwave - no oven or stove top.) In summer many guests spill out on to the large front yard and enjoy the view or throw frisbee. We also have a gas BBQ for your use. Just ask! You are welcome to come and go through our front door to make your way to your downstairs suite. There is plenty of safe parking in front of the house. WiFi is available for your use! If a full kitchen is important to your visit, please let us know in advance and we are happy to share it! A washer and dryer may also be made available for your use, just ask! We are happy to visit and offer you tips and recommendations on anything from where to eat to where to hike in the Gorge or play in Portland. We'll give you as much privacy or interaction as you'd like. We live right upstairs but are often out and about. If you forgot a necessity, you may find it in our stocked kitchen area and bathroom or simply ask! We sit on 10 acres and our very private home is only visited regularly by deer and other wildlife. We are located about 5 minutes from Washougal and about 35 from downtown Portland. Minutes away from some great hikes in the Gorge and the Washougal Motocross Track. The Portland Airport is about 25 minutes away. We have no public transportation that reaches us. Uber can work but you need to call and make an appointment. On summer weekends (May to Sept) there is a free shuttle that starts in downtown Washougal to popular Gorge hikes including Cape Horn, Beacon Rock, and Dog Mountain. Washougal has several breweries and beautiful local hikes, birding and walks with the Columbia and Washougal Rivers close by. There are always great deals to be found at the Pendleton Outlet Store. Nearby Camas has excellent restaurants and fun shopping. We love games here, so in addition to the pool table we have a stock pile of board games and cards for your use. We also have a ping pong table that can be set up in the garage - just ask! We allow pets, and love how our guests know how to handle them in new spaces. There is a $25/pet fee that will be added to booking cost. Two pet maximum. Please tell us about the pet when reservation is made.
