Our private cabin room (La Cabinita) is a 50 sec. walk to the beach in the Pierpont area of Ventura. It is extremely quiet and cozy with a comfortable bed, zen bathroom, & cedar patio. There is a semi private gated entrance. It is a perfect place to unwind, and a zen retreat for a visiting professional. This rental requires a minimum of 31 days. Our cabin room is a perfect location for a romantic getaway, a surf safari, a peaceful meditation/reading retreat, or just a place to relax and put your feet in the sand. Ventura has epic surf and we are located on one of the famous Pierpont lanes. The cabin room is located at the back of our home. The beach is a short walk to the end of our lane ( 9 houses) and takes under a minute. We have very mellow dogs and are ok with small under 35 lbs. cat friendly, non destructive/non aggressive dogs. There is a $200 fee plus they have to be current year round on flea meds. We also ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the cabin room for more than 2 hrs at a time. We do not accept dogs who bark excessively or have separation anxiety. Ventura is a very dog friendly town so you can take your dog pretty much everywhere. We have an extensive water softening system so the shower has lovely soft water. In the room there is a mini fridge, blender, coffee maker, glasses, mugs, bath towels, robes, beach chairs, a beach cooler, and a couple place settings. We can coordinate access to the washer and dryer and kitchen. We recommend bringing your bikes. The bike trails in Ventura are majestic. We let our guests do their own thing--but are happy to offer advice on good places to eat and fun activities in Ventura. Ventura is one of the best kept secrets in Southern California. It is a sleepy little beach town just an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes from the heart of LA. The weather at the beach is usually a minimum of 10 degrees cooler than it is in Los Angeles. It is very common to find L.A. people wandering around smiling because they know that they are beating the heat. The locals always smile back. Pierpont is a friendly surfer and mariner community with an proud eclectic mix of folks. Things are slower here, and the stresses of the big city seem to melt away upon your arrival. We are a few minutes drive to historic downtown Main street, the pier, the harbor, and Marina park. We are 4 blocks from the state park. There is an amazing coastal bike trail at the end of our block that is a lovely ride to Santa Barbara or Ojai. Ventura is a biking, surfing, boating, and tennis playing community. It is easy to walk or bike to most things in town. It is also famous for antiquing and thrift shopping. Nearby is Pierpont Racquet Club, an award winning tennis facility which is just a few min. drive and is also walking distance. Besides having world class tennis courts, they also have 2 swimming pools, a jacuzzi, racquet ball, a full gym, and excellent pilates, zumba, foundation, Piyo, water aerobics, and yoga classes. An LA Fitness Gym is currently being built about a mile from our place. There are bike rentals at the state park and a delicious oyster food truck called the Jolly Oyster only a few blocks from the house. It is a very popular stop off the bike trail. The tacos at Beach House Tacos on the pier are exceptional. We are currently making plans for landscaping. Please excuse our currently un-landscaped yard.
