Immerse yourself for a night in the late Victorian era on our farm in the country. The farm is 3 miles from I-5; 21 miles from CSU Chico. Continental breakfast served. WARNINGS: The bedroom is upstairs; the shower/bath is an antique clawfoot tub that may be difficult for some people to get in and out of. Dog & cats in the home, allergy trigger. Access is via a 1/2 mi. gravel farm road. The space Swan in the Willows Farm is a whimsical Victorian home. Attention has been paid to recreating a home circa 1900, the funishings and accessories throughout the house are antiques from the early to late 19th century. We are a farm that has horses, ponies and a couple of goats, and we grow hay and pomegranates. You are welcome to say hello to the horses and ponies or sit by the pond watching the koi, bullfrogs, and dragonflies. Deer and wild turkeys frequent the farm. There is a large porch for lounging too. WARNING! We have 2 house cats, sorry we cannot accommodate people with cat allergies. We also have a dog. Guest access Guests are free to lounge on the veranda or by the pond or use the parlor and dining room. Feel free to walk around the farm as long as you do not not go in with the goats or horses. Children must be accompanied at all times - horse dangers and pond danger! WARNINGS: Driveway is 1/2 mi. gravel road. Bedrooms are upstairs may not work for a handicapped individual and bathtub is an antique clawfoot tub which is difficult for some to get in and out of. During your stay When I was a young I traveled all over Europe with my parents staying at Bed and Breakfast lodgings which were people's homes. I loved the experience of getting to know new people as we traveled, and feeling welcomed into their homes. I would like to offer this same kind of warm experience for travelers. Other things to note WARNING! Bedrooms are UPSTAIRS so may not be accessible for handicapped or elderly individuals. We also have a dog. Children are welcome but must be watched at all times as we have a large pond and livestock can be dangerous.
