Zigzag Cabin - Pet Friendly & Minutes to Mt Hood

Cozy dog friendly cabin nestled among tall fir trees and rhododendron bushes. Peaceful view from the sitting/ office area. Wood paneling throughout gives the cabin a cozy, warm feeling. It's a 2 bed, 1.5 bath @ 850 sq ft but with its tall open beam ceilings and airy windows - it feels big for a small space. The cabin stays naturally cool throughout the summer & Zigzag river swimming hole is close by! Plus - fast WiFi and large desk lets you get work done while enjoying the outdoors! The space The location couldn't get any better than this! We are walking distance to the ZigZag river, neighborhood trails, breakfast spots, restaurants and bars! I’ve curated a small recommended local walks list that is provided with check-in details. The cabin naturally stays cool all summer. Single story access ensures accessibility for little ones, elderly, and handicapped. We have fantastic internet service. Our space is setup for remote work with a large desk and external monitor. Roku TV has Netflix and other channels available and allows for Bluetooth access to play music and shows from your smartphone. Guest access Whole house access. No access to exterior buildings. Other things to note The kitchen is well stocked with dry goods and spices, cookware, and serving dishes to host a small to medium size gathering. You are welcome to help yourself to whatever we have… We just ask you not run us out everything and feel free to replace any iitems you use or leave anything behind you won't use which someone else can! If you’d like to use the wood stove or outdoor fire pit, please bring a couple bundles of firewood and some kindling. A couple of things to note... -- The "full bathroom" has a shower only, no bathtub. -- Cabin is NOT recommended for little kids (less than 5 years old) due to limited indoor/ outdoor play areas. -- We have limited parking; 2 cars fit in the driveway; a 3rd will fit alongside the road but ask that you NOT park there, especially in inclement weather due to snow plows, etc. -- If you bring a pet - and allow them on the furniture - PLEASE use the provided couch covers, sheets, and towels designated for pets to keep the pet hair OFF the furniture. If my house cleaner needs extra time to clean specifically due to pet hair - charges will come out of the security deposit. Rhododendron Water District has the best quality water around! It’s safe (& tastes great) to drink from the tap - so no need to buy bottled water at the store. Food Items provided: Coffee - Coffee beans, instant coffee Tea - Various bagged tea, teapot Spices - pepper, salt, sugar Cooking oil - Olive Oil, Coconut Oil Cooking Implements: Large Soup Pot Various pots and pans Baking pie pan Baking sheet Instant Pot Rice Cooker There's a knife block on the counter and a better set of knives in the itty bitty drawer nearest the sink. Added bonus - our next door neighbors cabin (sleeps 4) can be rented simultaneously with enough notice - just ask!
