The Birdhouse in Hancock happily nests above the All Sorts Coffee + Retail shop and Trout Brook Studios. We offer three separate suites ~ Owl, Nest & Koo Koo, all of which were renovated in 2006. Summer rentals are $650for a 3 night rental. Nest is a two bedroom suite with large living room, kitchen and private bathroom. A twin bed and couch are available in addition to the queen and full beds. Keyed entry. Linens, bath essentials and general kitchenware are provided. The space Our property, home to The Birdhouse in Hancock, All Sorts (Cafe + Retail) and Troutbrook Studios, was purchased in 2006 to house a a bevy of thirty something dreams (we are now in our 40's :-) Today it holds forty something dreams, great food, and a curated atmosphere. The Birdhouse *so named by locals in reverence of the feathered friends who resided onsite* has three suites - Nest, Koo Koo, and Owl (permanently rented). Koo Koo is a large one bedroom with a queen and one twin plus four twin beds in the common space. Nest offers two bedrooms--one small one with a full bed and one larger one with a queen, plus twin bed that acts as a daybed by day but can be used for an additional guest. All have their own kitchen, living room and bathroom. Separate keyed entries. After an extensive renovation and restoration The Birdhouse in Hancock is happily outfitted with a geothermal heating system, energy star rated/energy efficient appliances and fixtures, non-toxic finishes, low-flow faucets, Watersense toilets, restored 100 year-old floors, original moldings, reclaimed doors, and recycled furnishings. Have a coffee and a croissant at All Sorts - amazing. Admire the custom beautiful wood and metal work by our friends at Trout Brook Studios. Visit Parkalbaum's Emporium - Handmade and Vintage Coop with over ten members. Venture out to The Smokehouse nearby - yummy (reviewed by Anthony Bourdain). The scenic Delaware River is less than a 5 minute walk (Hancock is the head waters of the Delaware River). RESERVE TUBES IN THE SUMMER FOR $15! Please note we are located in a small river village. There is a bus that goes to Hancock, NY. Please note, the bus to Hancock (Coach Shortline) only runs twice a day, from both Monticello and Binghamton. Via car: 2 1/2 hours form NYC via major highways. Great stopover on the NYC to Toronto drive! Guest access You have access to a 2 bedroom, full kitchen with basics, one bath apartment. Towels and linens included. $8 laundry fee. Other things to note We ask that guests park across the street in the municipal lot when All Sorts and Troutbrook are open (April-Nov). This allows their customers the opportunity to park and grab a quick bite.
