Stay in a rustic Civil War-era farmhouse on 2+ acres one mile from Princeton University campus and downtown Princeton. Feel at home with our extra comfy beds, fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, large garden, bikes and nature trails. Enjoy this rustic, four bedroom, three bathroom, Civil War-era farmhouse just a mile away from Princeton University campus and downtown Princeton. Ample parking. A limited number of bikes and helmets are available for your use. NOTE: We cannot host weddings. The second floor includes a master bedroom with king-size bed and private bath, and two additional bedrooms with queen-size beds and shared bath. All of those bedrooms have twin XL trundle beds. The first floor includes a bedroom/study with full-size futon, a third full bath, large living room with fireplace, dining room, and eat-in kitchen. Laundry and dryer in the basement. We also have a deck with a fire bowl and grill. In total, there are three Queen beds, one King, two optional firm Queen sofa beds. Also, there are two Twin XL mattresses and one Queen aerobed that can be provided for additional guests upon request (subject to availability). Please contact us to discuss total number of guests. Our house is situated on two and a quarter acres of sprawling lawn and 100+ year-old sugar maples, oaks, and pines. The house was initially built in the 1860s and then expanded with a large living room and master bedroom in the 1950s. Our property adjoins a nature preserve (great for trail running and walking). You'll have access to a kitchen, dining room, living room, deck, and sprawling backyard. [Note that depending on when you rent, we (the owners) may still be present on the property in our tiny home (a separate, small cabin tucked away in the woods), caring for the garden and our chickens. However, you would still have plenty of privacy and we would not need access to the main house.] We've got a fully stocked self-serve breakfast & snack bar available throughout the day (cereals, jam, tea, coffee) and a kitchen with plenty of space for your groceries. Roku with many streaming options (guest log-in may be required). High-speed Wifi both indoors and throughout most of the property. Board games. Lawn games. Ample parking. A limited number of bikes with helmets and locks are available for your use. Washer and dryer are in the basement. We are away a lot and may or may not be around. If we are in town, we'll be on the grounds but staying in a tiny home (a separate, small cabin tucked away in the woods). We are located just over one mile from the main gates of campus (a 20 minute walk or 8 minute bike ride). Cut through our woods and find a path that leads you into the Community Park, Mountain Lakes, and John Witherspoon Woods nature preserves: 208 acres of deciduous forest, a breathtaking reservoir, and open meadows.
