Our guest house is a remodeled post & beam barn adjacent to our home, but entirely separate. A "magical" bedroom upstairs. Vermont Castings fireplace; living & dining areas, bathroom with shower. Minor cooking: small fridge, microwave, 2-burner hotplate, steamer (i.e. for rice & veggies), toaster, coffee maker. Outside grill & outside sink. Bring binocs if you are a birder. 25 acres of forested land. Directly on Lake Champlain with easy (seasonal fluctuations) small boat access. Kayaks welcome. A PERFECT WRITERS RETREAT, WITH OUR NESTING OSPREYS FOR COMPANY. We are the southern-most house on the Lake in Vermont and look directly into the Adirondacks. No other public lake access in this southern part of Lake Champlain, except for a few small boat launches. Please note that the "second" bedroom is the living room downstairs, with a very comfortable sofa bed. Due to zoning restrictions, we do not have a "kitchen," but a small kitchenette with all you may require to prepare your basic meals. We have hiking trails on the property, and a small secret waterfall. You may be sharing the overall property (25 acres) with the adjacent home (this could be us, or other airbnb guests). Hike up into the woods onto the ridge; explore the gardens; get out on the lake. I have a canoe for your use. And please, ASK about our catered boat trips on Lake Champlain. We will either be on-site, to help guests throughout their stay, or have co-hosts available who live only a mile away.
