No public lake access in this southern part of Lake Champlain, except for a few small boat launches. Due to zoning restrictions, the barn does not have a "kitchen," but a small kitchenette with all you may require to prepare your basic meals. Washer and Dryer in the main house. Together, these homes feature considerable local craftsmanship, and have used locally milled lumber and slate whenever possible, including 150 year old refurbished slate tiles on the roof of the barn. Whichever one you choose to sleep in, you will feel lucky! Guest access An evocative place. We have hiking trails on the property, and a small secret waterfall ALL to yourselves! Guests have seen moose, bear, deer, and an assortment of smaller mammals including both species of local fox. Raptors, waders, waterfowl, and other birds abound. With canals of both ends of Lake Champlain, connecting it to the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Hudson River, guests occasionally see interesting boats glide past, on their way from Canada to the Caribbean.
