Quaint Southern Charm! *Please make sure you list the total number of Guests in your reservation. If for some reason you book as a single guest and have a significant other in your party, changing your reservation from one to two people, is easy enough through the Airbnb website. *The Crooked Oak Inn is open, airy, clean and NON-SMOKING, in a quiet, Rural area. *We do have a dog that lives on the premises. His name is Duke - He is a Lab mix and full of love. *BE ADVISED: Guest bedroom is on the 2nd floor by way of 13, 8" steps that includes the landing, with a sturdy handrail. There is no lift, so please consider this when booking. *We have a strict NON-SMOKING policy. *Our guests will enjoy a large, cozy private bedroom upstairs, a comfortable queen sized bed with clean sheets and extra pillows. There is a large walk-in closet in the Guest Bedroom with extra blankets, a luggage rack and a portable fan. There is also a dresser for your personal belongings, a night stand, a work/laptop table, wifi, Firestick tv, an in room air conditioner and an Infrared Quartz Electric heater all for your comfort. *The staircase does not have a door, however there is a door that locks on the private upstairs guest bedroom. Key is provided upon check in (when checking out, please be sure to return the bedroom key) *Our guests will have access to a private bathroom with a shower / 18 inch high tub that has sliding glass doors, toilet paper, clean bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer and a nightlight for your safety. *There is a Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detector in the hallway and a Fire Extinguisher in the bedroom. There are nightlights on the stairs, in the hallway and bathroom all for your safety. The bedroom also, has a nightlight that you can turn on and off for your convenience and safety. *Check in is between 4-8pm. If you are arriving later than 8 pm please let us know an ETA via the Airbnb website. *Please mapquest our address after booking to find the quickest easiest route for you. *WE ARE NOT A PERMANENT RESIDENCE. *WE BOTH LIVE ON THE PROPERTY. *WE DO NOT DO MONTH TO MONTH RENTALS. *WE ARE NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. *Please NO extra people beyond registered guests permitted. *Parking on the street is NOT allowed. Our driveway has a slight incline, however the off street Guest Parking area (in our driveway) is flat and available on the left side of garage. *If arriving after dark, the guest parking area has a motion activated light that comes on for your safety. The porch lights will be on as well. Parking on the street is not allowed. *Check out is 10am. NO EXCEPTIONS *Local Activity and Menu Folders, provided in bedroom for your convenience. *Please no dining in bedroom. Snacks OK *Please be courteous and clean up after yourself. Guest access *All bookings/transactions go thru Airbnb. NO Exceptions. *Keyless entry. *Grab and Go Breakfast MAY include muffins, coffee cakes and bottled water. *Cooking is disruptive. Please no use of kitchen, stove, pots or pans. During your stay We both live on the property and will respect your privacy. We will be happy to share our knowledge of the area with you! NO EXCEPTIONS * PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN USING STAIRS. * Private bathroom has an 18 inch high tub/shower with sliding glass doors. * The Crooked Oak Inn is NOT Responsible for any Guests Personal Belongings. * NO parking allowed on the street. Guest Parking is Available in our driveway on the left side of garage. If arriving after dark there is an outdoor motion activated light sensor for your safety in the parking area. Porch lights will be on as well. * Remember, there is one step up to the front porch and 13 steps, including the landing to the upstairs Guest bedroom with a solid handrail. Stairwell, upstairs hallway, bathroom and bedroom all have nightlights for your safety. * We live in a Secure Neighborhood, with a very active Online Neighborhood Watch. Please do not hang around outside the house or in the driveway upon return. However, feel free to relax on the porch in the rockers, or take a stroll thru the neighborhood. * We will NOT tolerate any illegal drug use - no matter where it may be legal elsewhere...we will alert local authorities of any illegal drug use on the property. * ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED, NO EXCEPTIONS, NON-NEGOTIABLE That includes: Dogs, Cats, Fish, Birds, Rabbits, Lizards, Frogs, Turtles, Snakes, Hamsters, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs...etc. * Please Respect us, our home and our property. *The Crooked Oak Inn Hosts ask that guests PLEASE Respect our home as you would your own and Please do not destroy/damage ANY of our property. This detracts from the beauty of our home and can result in a costly fee. Thank you.
