Check ferry, reserve from mainland The space It is expected that guests will “go out” for meals. Your minimal ‘dining’ area includes a small fridge, and small electric appliances such as a microwave, kettle and toaster. There is no range, cooktop, grill or kitchen sink. Minimal plates, glasses, cups, utensils are really just for ‘snacks’ not full meals. Most workable is to bring ready-made meals, take-out locally, and dine out. Galiano has a variety, though limited, of very good restaurant offerings. The larger bedroom can be set up as a king bed or as 2 twin beds. The house itself is unique and beautiful. It is an architect designed home built of western red cedar, with a unique geometric sculptural look and feel. Guest access 2 bedrooms, dining area, living room, private bathroom, outside areas. None of this space is shared with anyone else. Host has a private area and entrance. Your privacy is assured. During your stay Your host occupies a smaller private area within the house and has a private entrance. Other things to note Maximum/MINIMUM STAY requirements: 3 nights on long holiday weekends. 2 nights ail other dates. FERRIES It is very important to reserve space on the ferry! No extra cost on Gulf Islands sailings. There are 2 routes to Galiano from the mainland. Either direct from Tsawwassen to Galiano or in case that ferry is full, go to Swartz Bay on a Thru Fare and transfer to the Galiano ferry. A longer trip but very beautiful and the same cost.
