At the base of Scotts Bluff National Monument is Gering, Nebraska (pop. 8500). Two blocks from the Guest House is the Monument Valley Pathway leading to Scotts Bluff National Monument (and other places) where there is a National Park Service museum, Saddle Rock Trail, and gift shop. A short walk down the street is the Mixing Bowl Bistro and Coffee along with various friendly shops and restaurants down 10th Street. Just over 2 miles away is the city of Scottsbluff with a thriving downtown including antique shops, a craft brew house, an award-winning YMCA, Riverside Zoo, and several boutiques. Within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store, several parks. Public transportation available. Electric vehicle plug-in is allowed for the same fee as an additional guest. If you plan to charge your electric vehicle, please increase your guest number by the number of electric vehicles you plan to charge. Thank you! Child pack-n-play available upon request. High chair/booster seat available as well. Electric vehicles are welcome and can be charged via regular 110 plug-in access. A charge of $15 per night, equivalent to that of an additional guest, is required. Please adjust your number of guests accordingly.
