A Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) is a mechanism for funding tourism promotion and economic development activities that are designed to increase revenues for the assessed businesses. For the communities within the Tahoe Basin, this is an additional 2% assessment which will be itemized on your booking receipt as a Tourism Assessment/Fee.
