The space This Hamptons home is geared towards families looking for beach relaxation. It is a fully equipped, 3-bedroom house priced at less than a hotel room in the Hamptons area, as well as other area houses with fewer bedrooms. Quiet lane. Stroll to the bay for sunsets and peaceful morning walks. The ocean distance is good for morning exercise and jogs, over the Ponquogue Bridge. This is a home to hang out and enjoy the beach. It’s really the closest you can get to the beach for the area and price, and that’s what I look for people to enjoy. It is a quaint village and not the star map Hamptons. About Hampton Bays: it is a charming town and prized for its location near beautiful beaches. Along the south shore with closest access to the ocean. It is not where Sean Combs or Martha Stewart live and party, nor where you go to be seen. It has always been the heart of the Hamptons, where houses were built by city folk (as my father was when he built this house) for a place to escape NYC for the pure reason to get as close to the ocean as possible. A little housekeeping note to use as you please- This is a sandy region with sandy soil. The minute you step in the home, you will probably be tracking sand into the house. It is nearly impossible to keep the hardwood floors free of particles! But there is a lightweight vacuum if you wish to use it during your stay. There is an outdoor shower, as well as hose, for rinsing off when coming back from the beach. Use of these is appreciated for rinsing feet and and sandy swimsuits instead of the inside shower. Guest access - Private use of the house. - Parking in the house's driveway. - Each of the 3 bedrooms contains a queen size bed. Bed linens & bath towels are provided. - Beach towels are NOT provided. Please bring your own. - There are kids beach toys, beach chairs that you are welcome to use for the beach. - Outdoor shower available. - All bedrooms, living quarters, kitchen and the full bathroom with tub intended for guest access are located on the first floor. This is the fully equipped house that I advertise... - An additional half bathroom is available on the second floor. You are welcome to use this bathroom as much as needed. I don't advertise the house as a two bathroom because the upstairs is not prepared as a regular use area for guests. Our housekeeper cleans the upstairs bathroom after every stay, yet the rest of the upstairs is for storage. Please be relaxed as I am, and do not dock me points for cleanliness in my storage area since I don't mind if you go upstairs to use the spare bathroom. Again, everything you need should be downstairs with no stair climbing if you desire. - High Speed WiFi - Fully equipped kitchen with cooking tools, drip coffee maker, toaster, microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle, dishwasher. - The living room has a flat screen TV with Chromecast to accept your Netflix, Hulu, etc. Cable TV is not guaranteed. - Air conditioning units in each bedroom and main living space (summer months). Central heat (winter). Ceiling fans in every room. - BBQ propane gas grill. - Enclosed, screened-in back patio with dining table and chairs for conversing and hanging out in the evenings. - Sunny backyard with room for games, a field light for nighttime yard play. Badminton. Bocce ball. Other yard toys and beach toys for kids. - 3 kayaks available for you to use, please let me know if you plan to use them before arriving. Life jackets are in the hall closet. - Board games are available in the hall closet. - Clothes washer and dryer. - Baby items: Pack-n-Play, booster seat, changing pad, Mockingbird stroller. The stroller does not have a sunshade. - Normally it will be check-in at 3 PM, check-out at 11 AM, namely if there are others leaving or arriving the same day to allow for my housekeeper to clean. If there is no one else booked surrounding your days, I am flexible with times to allow you maximum time at the beach and house.
