Welcome to our home, set on the dessert shores of Osoyoos Lake in Washington State's beautiful Okanagan Valley. Just 10 minutes away from the Canadian border crossing at Oroville / Osoyoos, you will find a great place to get in some down time and create lasting memories with your family. The house is over 2000 sq ft and has all the comforts of a modern home. Stay lakeside or go explore historic Molson, the Similkameen Trail, or the town of Oroville. We have the best Elon Musk internet also! In 2014 I was fortunate enough to come and live in the town of Oroville for a season and build our summer home. The lake house is a duplex shared with my sister and her husband. Both homes are completely independent with a great big sound dampening wall running between them, (we never hear them, not even their grandkids). Our side of the home can comfortably host 8 people and conveniently has two master bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to create delicious meals and there are spacious dinning areas both inside and outside the house. Our screened in porch is where the older kids hang out playing poker, and our little ones love to walk barefoot thru the irrigated front lawn that lies between the house and the lake. And of course everybody loves the lake. Our dock and the grassy area along the lake shore is a common space shared by all guests. The dock goes into the lake in May and comes out in September. Let us know if you are bringing your own ski boat as we do have a lift for boats, but there are some weight restrictions on it. There is lots of parking and a space for your boat trailer too. The two adult kayaks and the two childrens kayaks are complimentary as well. Due to Covid-19 the dock may be configured differently than shown in the photos. During the months of July and August we have a 6 nights minimum but for the rest of the year it is a 3 night minimum, and we offer monthly discounts from October to May. Some of our local attractions are the town of Molson with it school house museum and ghost town about 15 miles east, and the Grand Coulee Dam is about 2 hours south. Hike up to the Enloe Dam along the Similkameen trail that follows the river on the old train track bed. Stop in at the Old Oroville Depot Museum to learn of the areas past train history and more. we are located in Oroville, Washington - a few minutes drive from Osoyoos, two hours from Kelowna and within five hours from Vancouver or Seattle. Beach towels are not included in the rental. We ask that you never drive across the lawn area west of the green barn as it is irrigated and you could damage buried irrigation lines or sprinkler heads.
