Close to downtown Wilm, 95, Museums

This room is perfect for a short stay, job interviews & visiting family & friends in Wilmington; walkable to downtown offices & businesses. You'll notice this room is small with a twin bed. Questions welcome, please read on... The space Welcome to downtown Wilmington, DE! My house is in the historic Cool Spring neighborhood that's quiet, friendly and a nice 7-8 block walk into town. Outside, enjoy parks for exercising and within a mile, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Inside, make yourself at home in one of my extra bedrooms with a view of our city 'skyline.' I'm convenient to our outstanding selection of cultural and historic attractions including Winterthur, the Nemours Mansion & Garden, Hagley and the beautiful Brandywine Valley. Rt. 95 is a block away; The train/bus station is a couple miles away. If you have business meetings or are starting a new job in downtown Wilmington, you can walk there, take public transportation within a few blocks of my house or we'll figure out another approach. I offer recommendations for local unique cafes and restaurants. There is a friendly cat in the house. I often work from home so I'm around. Guest access You'll have access to the dining room, kitchen, back yard and front porch. Bathroom is next to your bedroom. Guests should think of the kitchen as a convenience for heating up food and preparing basic meals more so than a place to create elaborate feasts requiring extensive use of cookware and spices. I want you to be comfortable but keep in mind there will be other people in the house, like me. Check in times flexible starts at 11am although earlier can be arranged. No check-ins after 9:30pm. Absolutely positively NO 3rd party reservations will be accepted. During your stay I do enjoy hosting guests, sharing my home and conversing with guests. You can expect a warm, friendly atmosphere more so than what you might find in a hotel. Other things to note Guests must arrive by 9:30pm to check-in on that first night only. Guests looking for longer stays often reserve just a few nights. We get to know each other and then they extend for a month or two. I LIVE HERE.
