Riverside Cabin- On Operating Dairy Farm
This lovely, private cabin is nestled on the Delaware River. Best of all, the on-farm experience sets this stay apart from any other vacation you could have. Come see the farm, milk a cow or help feed a calf. The Catskill Scenic Trail, known for its walking, running, biking & horseback riding, is within walking distance. The Catskill Mountains have become a popular weekend destination, with it's breathtaking landscape and small-town appeal. The space One of the most delightful parts of your stay, with be the soft noise of the rambling brook steps from the front porch. There is nothing more tranquil than being nestled on the bank of the Delaware River in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. -This cabin is now completely off the grid and has 24/7 power thanks to some newly installed solar panels! -Pets are allowed for a fee of $10 per pet. -The cabin is complete with a double bed, military-style bunk beds and twin bed. There is more space available for cots or sleeping bags. -There is also a small seating area. -The interior has a lovely rustic decor. There is a small covered porch with seating. -The area surrounding the cabin is also available to guests at their own risk. There is plenty of space available for pitching tents and sleeping under he stars. -There is a fire pit with seating perfect for cooking over an open fire or campfire s'mores. -There is an outdoor shower. -There is an outhouse located next to the cabin with composting toilet. Very clean and no smell. -A small propane hot plate will be provided. -A container of water will be provided for basic hygiene needs and cooking and cleaning (which can be replenished by guest at our home). Drinking water will be a responsibility of the guests. -Guests are allowed to use the shower in our house (4 guests-1 FREE shower per guest every other day, $5 fee for every 5th+ guest) - The farm, visible from the cabin area, is located less than a quarter of a mile away, across the corn field. No more than 2 minute drive or 8 minute walk. Guest access *IMPORTANT: Guests are not allowed in the house, barn or surrounding buildings without the permission and direct oversight of a member of the Holdridge family (owners). Other things to note -One buddle of wood is provided for free. If additional bundles are needed we have them available for $5 -Fishing is allowed Things you may want to bring: Extra water Fishing poles Food to cook over a fire pit (s'mores!) Bathing suit Clothes\shoes to wear around the animals and in the barn
