Anchors Away

This unique "Anchors Away" Floating Cottage is located on the Seneca/Cayuga Canal which is part of the Erie. Very comfortable for family vacations. Lots to do in the Finger Lakes area; museums, State Parks on close by Lakes, wineries, Outlet Mall shopping center. NOTE: Linens and towels are not provided. The space We are located in the middle of the Finger Lakes Region. Rochester and Syracuse are within 45 minutes. Niagara Falls is less than a 2 hour drive and New York City is a 5 hour drive. Guest access This Floating Cottage is actually a boat and has a wonderful view of the Seneca/Cayuga Canal. Sitting on the back deck or on the top deck, you will see nature at its finest. Herons, Eagles, King Fishers and many more birds that you will see. Beaver, mink, muskrat are a plus too. While you are our guests, we can offer you, without any charge, the use of our kayaks, canoes, row boat and paddle boat. If you would like to go out to the Seneca Lake or go thru the Locks, Captain John, would be happy to take you on a narrated tour for a discounted price. We have a shed full of lawn games. There is a great campfire area and firewood is always available free. There is also a bathhouse on the site for your use too. Internet is now available too. We do not provide linens and towels, however, we can for an extra charge of $60 that can be paid upon arrival. Other things to note Everyone that has been to our spot, has loved the quite, beauty and accommodations. Staying on a boat is a great experience. We have allowed a pet with prior approval, as long as they are leashed when walking on the property and well behaved and picked up after. And added plus is the free use of all our human powered equipment (i.e. Kayaks, Canoe, paddleboats and a small aluminum fishing boat with trolling motor)
