Roots and Rhinestones. Where a modern rustic decor meets beautiful and bright memories to be made. Ashlee grew up vacationing on this lake where her family has planted roots here. We got married on these grounds and it is the most special place for us. It's also a gem of a home which is why we chose to call it Roots and Rhinestones. When you visit R+R we hope our love for the lake, outdoors, music and making memories with family and friends can be felt here. Welcome to R+R. The space We are a secluded and private property that offers a spectacular view of the lake and also captures a cabin type feel. Our space is bright and cheery and inviting no matter what time of year. With the fire pit by the lake, guests can roast marshmallows, enjoy a good drink, and make some great memories. We also have a gas fireplace inside for the cold nights. When the weather is warmer take the kayaks out or try the paddle boards. We think you'll love it. Oh and our screened in porch is our favorite "room" in the house. At night take a long bath in our modern brand new bathroom and tub and maybe spin a little Dolly Parton on the record player. ;) And don't forget to watch for deer. They are beautiful and everywhere and they are our friends :) We also have taken extra measures during the pandemic to ensure a clean and safe environment as best we can. We have installed a UV light in our home that helps with killing off any germs. Our cleaner follows the CDC guidelines and has taken extra precaution by wiping and disinfecting all surfaces, remotes, etc and by doing a though and deep cleaning after each guest leaves. We are located in a neighborhood and ask that all guests be respectful of the permanent residents nearby. We do not allow parties, no day guests/outside guests above the reservation request, and require quiet hours after 10 PM. In order to provide the best guest experience for all we do not allow pets on the property. Guest access You are welcome to use kayaks, paddle boards and floats. The entire place is yours and feel free to use the front yard for another area of play and fun or just to chill out. Bunk room (Downstairs) - 1 twin bunkbed set - 1 detached twin bed -Walk in Shower next door to the bunk room KITCHEN & DINING - Bosch Dishwasher - Coffee Pot, Coffee Grinder, Milk Frother - Local Coffee Beans - Raleigh Coffee Company - Refrigerator/Freezer with ice maker and filter water - Sink has filtered drinking water - Stove and Oven with Air Fry -Instant Pot - KitchenAid Mixer - Blender - Microwave - Pantry stocked with oils and spices - Indoor dining for 6 - Outdoor dining on the deck - Gas Grill Internet & TV - Internet and Wifi works great for streaming TV, Music, Phones and work from home! Average 4-6 mbps - Internet is Very Limited on the lake. - All TV's have streaming services set up with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and more. (note: bring your passwords and log in or set up in guest mode) Outdoors: -Our house is directly located on the lake with dock access and 8 ft deep water - We provide 2 Kayaks, 2 Paddleboards, and Floats for your use - Screened Porch with woodburning Wood Stove (firewood is provided) - Outdoor FirePit with direct lakeside view (Firewood Provided) - Chaise seating Guest Access: Guests self check-in with keypad into private home. Guest must be able to comfortably navigate stairs for upstairs bedrooms and drop down living room. Please be Kind to our Septic System: In the bathroom, only flush toilet paper. Kindly dispose all other products in the trash. In the kitchen, there Is no garbage disposal. Please put food scraps in the trash can. Guest Verification: If a guest has no reviews yet, we require Airbnb verification of government ID, photo, phone, email, and to be least 25 years of age. House Rules: No Outside Guests or additional Guests from Reservation total No Parties Please be respectful to my lake neighbors and remember that noise carries on water. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm. Our neighbors live here full time and report any issues or concerns. Please reach out directly if you need help with anything!
