Wonderful, quaint simple farmhouse with nice decor, trees & acres! 1898 home updated 2008. Central Air and new heating system 7/21/24 Yeah!!! WiFi as of 8/25!!! Main floor-full bed 2 quests . Two firm futons in adjoining living room great for children. Teens & adult guests are welcome to stay upstairs Queen and twin bed. No children please upstairs - steep steps and no protected windows. Note: 8/25 WiFi Available! Swing set/dog kennel. Weber & chimney. Bring your charcoal! The space The home is in the country, yet 5 mins to a nice small town for restaurants and necessities. Read or craft or plan a hand weaving “retreat/class” with me for beginners! Great place to just get-a-way! Great country bike riding roads, 15 mins from Kaskaskia River. Effective 6/1/19 $20. Animals staying cleaning fee will be added. Not for Service Animals. 15 minutes from the farm: SAFB, a winery & Belleville Eckerts - free concerts - check their schedule. Also, a wonderful farm -you pick- Braeutigam’s Orchard- old school family run-super kid friendly! SWIC, Mckendree, Lindenwood . Memorial & St. Elizabeth’s hospitals. Lady of the Snows Shrine. MO is 45 mins. The Arch, STL Zoo, City Museum, Sports. Carbondale about 1 1/2 south. Carlyle Lake 1 hr. Kaskaskia River 15 mins. Guest access 15 minutes from Mid America Airport and SAFB. 20-30 mins Hospitals. 45-60 mins STL Within a half hour to Sparta, IL 5 mins to nice small town offerings including Laundry mat. 3 acres of shaded and open yard for you to enjoy the quiet . Dexter the donkey and outdoor cat Marley reside here. Bring carrots! 100s of acres in crops, and woods adjoining are for atmosphere , not playing. Other things to note New feature as of May 2025 There is a machine shed that can accommodate 2 picnic tables inside or outside for gatherings, I can provide a new tent for camping for your extras as the house maximum is 6 with one bathroom. There is a privacy port a potty tent available for a gathering. Feel free to contact me for allowed events with definite number of folks staying for price. A small fire pit for a calm day only.
