For guests’ convenience and comfort, all private rooms have their own bathroom with a personal hygiene kit, a small bar fridge and plush towels. The space This room offers two rooms. The first is the sitting room with a comfy couch and coffee table (perfect for reading books at), and a small writing desk and chair. The second is the large, brightly lit bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a small dresser. The private bathroom is equipped with a luxurious soaker tub with a hand-held shower and rain head fixture. Our aim is to offer our guests the homely attention to detail of a Bed and Breakfast with the luxury, comfort, and flexibility of a top-notch hotel. By virtue of our small number of rooms, we can provide exceptional hospitality and a truly bespoke experience encompassing a wide range of guests' needs. The Shortiss, is a place where one should desire to lay down their luggage! Far from the hotel stereotypes, a true-life place where each room was imagined differently, so the traveler can constantly renew his/her experience. Treating yourself to a guest room, feeling at home, unwinding in a relaxing ambiance or taking advantage of all the many activities in the area, the Shortiss offers it all. Originally built as 'the Shortiss Hotel' in the mid 1800's, it was picked up off its foundation closer to the lake and moved to its current location in the late 1880's. You can still see the quirkiness in the building's slightly skewed front entrance. It has had an extensive history, since then, being turned into a plethora of businesses and residential apartments. But shortly after purchasing it, once we found out the building was originally a hotel when it was first built, we knew we had to return it to its intended purpose. Today, the building has been completely renovated and decorated with our personal taste and passion and with an uncompromising focus on the details and with an eclectic mix of contemporary, vintage, and antique décor items scattered throughout all the spaces. As one of the oldest buildings on the street, the Shortiss has been designed as a country house, a second home, if you will. It's a place to feel great, a place you won't want to leave, a place where you can't wait to come back to. It’s an intimate house, full of emotions, with a soul, and a story.
