Located just a few blocks from Main St, Lake Charlevoix and the Jordan River and a short drive to Charlevoix, Boyne City, Bellaire and all northern Michigan has to offer. A perfect location for a truly a one-of-a-kind stay for your Up North getaway. Pets welcome! Embrace the experience of how to "LIVE with the JUNK you LOVE"! The house is furnished and staged by the retail/salvage shop adjoining the property. When not rented, the house is used as an extended showroom for the shop so many of the furnishings are actually for sale and ever changing. So, if you LOVE it...you can buy it...wall decor, kitchen table, coffee table, dressers, desk, lighting, and even the bathroom sink! The large backyard slopes down away from the road and offers privacy away from the hustle and bustle. Enough room for some yard games, bonfire (firepit provided) and outdoor lounging. The master bedroom boasts a handmade, natural mattress from Harbor Springs Mattress Company. A delight to sink into after a day of adventure. You will have access to the entire home and yard. All of the home essentials are provided, including kitchen utensils and cookware. Fresh bedding is provided in all bedrooms with additional available, if needed. Additional amenities include board games, beach towels and swim noodles, dog leash and toys, a kettle charcoal grill (charcoal provided), yard games and fire pit (wood provided) It is expected you will be able to check in and get settled on your own. Host will be available to guests by phone/text/email or just walk next door during shop hours. Host also lives nearby and can assist if necessary. While the house is associated with the shop next door, you will have full, private access to the house. You will not be interrupted by shop activities. East Jordan, on the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, is a beautiful place to connect to all of Northern Michigan. It is home to all kinds of outdoor activity...Lake Charlevoix, Lake Michigan, and the Jordan River...for swimming, boating, beach combing, rafting, kayaking, and fishing. Natural areas abound, especially the Jordan Valley for hiking. Bike trails, tennis courts, basketball courts and pickleball courts are within walking distance. Winter brings access to skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and more. 15 minutes from Boyne Mt and 20 min to Schuss/Shanty Creek. East Jordan is centrally located among the large assortment of small communities, each with their own amenities. Petoskey and Traverse City are an easy drive of an hour or less. The neighborhood is a transition between residential and commercial areas. While located on the main road, it provides a nice level of privacy inside the home and in the backyard. The area is serviced by Charlevoix County Transit bus system, which is ADA accessible. Uber or Lyft does not operate in the area. The house is equipped with wifi but not cable. The TV has a chromecast stick that works with the Google Home app. There are instructions to connect, if you wish to watch movies via your Netflix, Hulu or other accounts.
