The historic Mill Pond Inn was built in 1879 by the Mann Brothers, who ran a grain and sawmill. When David and Joan purchased the property in 2017, it had been abandoned for twenty-two years, but retained many of its original details. Today, the house features five rooms with private baths, a relaxing front porch, and a large back deck with stunning views of the mill pond. An event space for parties of up to 100+. On-Site Tavern & Restaurant is open Thursday-Sunday 10a-10p. The space The house sits on 25 acres of scenic woodland. Guests can cross over the wooden bridge, past the waterfall, and to the nature trail, which winds around the pond and along the stream. The area is home to frogs, beavers, and many birds: herons, egrets, wood ducks, mallards, kingfishers, and others. Guest access Guests are welcome to enter the main front door which has an electronic key code if there's no one there to greet you. Guests may enjoy the front porch, relax on the back deck or sit by the pond. If you need handicapped access for main floor only we can arrange the side entrance to be used. Other things to note We may be an old building, but our restoration includes the latest advancements for heating, electric, plumbing, WIFI and we're very proud of our fire alarm system that is connected directly to the fire department. All of the windows are brand new but period correct with proper screens. We've made every effort to combine new world technology with old world charm.
