Kick back on the porch of this cute and cozy cottage, nestled amongst the trees and gardens, after a day of enjoying the best of Austin. The welcoming interior offers a rustic, functional ambiance with retro touches like the antique chest in the bedroom or the kitchen's red premium refrigerator. Guests experience comfort in every season with the newly installed mini-split cooling/heating system. The space When you open the door of the cottage, you'll immediately step into the kitchen and living room space with a clean, restored-vintage design. The kitchen is equipped with basic cooking tools. Breakfast supplies include oatmeal, coffee, and tea. There is a fold-out dining table for 2-3 people and a fold-out sleeper sofa which converts into a queen-size bed. When you step through the "portal" into the bedroom space, you'll pass by closet space on your right and the bathroom on your left. The large bedroom boasts a king bed, mirrored vanity, and dresser. Both the living room and bedroom have window units with A/C and heat. The house will be equipped with extra sheets, blankets, and pillows for the fold-out sleeper sofa. Guest access Guests have access to the yard and entire cottage. Other things to note From the porch of the cottage, under the shade of century-old trees, it's easy to forget that you're right in the heart of Austin. A three-block walk will get you to famous Franklin BBQ, coffee shops, restaurants, a bakery, yoga studio, and boutiques on 11th street. The same distance in the other direction will land you on East 6th, full of food trucks, more great restaurants, and bars. On foot, you can walk to the Convention Center in 20 minutes or UT's Darrel K. Royall football stadium in 30 minutes. In addition, the bus stop is two blocks away, the light rail is a 10-minute walk, and in-town bikes can be rented 3 blocks from the house. For those who prefer driving, we'll provide an overnight on-street parking pass. This is a great homebase for F1 races, as the shuttle to the track leaves from the Convention Center downtown. Please note that our nightly price includes 15% for local and state hotel taxes and we are a locally-licensed Short-Term Rental. Our nightly pricing changes for major festivals (SXSW, F1, ACL.)
