Lone Tree barn loft, farm setting

Our beautiful barn apartment is clean and fresh. We have views of our 10 acre property, including a pasture with cows and two miniature donkeys, from this upper level apartment. The apartment is bright and open. We have everything you need for a comfortable stay in Traverse City. We are only minutes from downtown, and so much that Traverse City has to offer is within minutes of our home. A truly perfect location. Ten acres so close to town! Our property is quiet, beautiful, and unique. The space Parking for the apartment is in front of the barn with the address 5244. We designate two spots for guests. Sometimes we have vehicles parked there, so if you pull in and there is not room for your two vehicles, please let me know and we will make room. The apartment is the full upper level of our barn. It is very peaceful, with some picturesque views. There are cows and miniature donkeys in the pasture to the east of the barn. We have a wood shop on the main floor of the barn, and a garage on the lower level of the barn, used only for personal use. There is a laundry room in the apartment with laundry products, a fully functioning kitchen, with all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, cleaning products, Keurig coffee maker with coffees and tea, small electric coffee maker with filters. We have well water, so it is safe for cooking and drinking. Our water is so good that we have friends fill up jugs of water to take home! Sheets and bedding as well as towels are furnished for your use. If you need more, please let me know. There are also beach towels available for your use. There is a SmartTV in the master bedroom and the living room. We have WiFi for streaming, and an antenna, so ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS are accessible, along with a few other channels. I have a DVD player and an assortment of movies available upon request. Please let me know if you have any problems with the TV’s We’ve provided some board games, cards, and puzzles for your enjoyment as well. There is a mini crib in the master bedroom. There is a baby gate for the top of the stairs, as well as a pack-n-play in the closet if needed. I have a high chair that you could use if needed, I would just need prior notice to furnish that. If there is anything in particular you would like, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. We are typically around, so feel free to get ahold of us if you need anything. We can answer questions and point you in the right direction for activities around the beautiful Grand Traverse area. There are times when we go out for the evening or on weekends, so if there is something you may need, please let me know as soon as possible. We want our guests to feel welcome and comfortable, so please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any concerns or needs, or if you just want to know about the area. ***Please also read the “House Manual” section for important information about our property*** Guest access Our home is situated on ten beautiful acres. There is a fenced in pasture on the east side of our property, with three cows and two miniature donkeys. Our son shows the cows at the fair for 4H. We have a pond that has fish, frogs, snakes, and occasional water fowl. **Please use caution with children around the pond.**We ask that you do not enter the pond and that children do not enter the pond. It slopes down so it’s not easy to navigate , and children quickly find themselves in the middle.** There is a patio with a fire pit located near the pond with a small propane grill (available for your use upon request), table, chairs, and benches. We have additional chairs if you need them. Please let us know ahead of time if you’d like to use the patio/fire pit, to ensure no one else is using it, and so we can provide the lighter fluid, wood and roasting sticks. If you drive past the driveway (heading north) we have another fire pit/patio available for guest use as well (past the other barn). Please let us know ahead of time for that as well, so we can be sure no one else is using it, and provide wood, lighter fluid and roasting sticks. There is a small grill top that attaches to the metal ring for grilling on. There are chairs around the fire pit, and plenty of firewood. We have provided a 50 gallon barrel of water in off chance there is an uncontrollable fire, or to put the fire out when you are finished. Please bring any trash back to the dumpster by our house. Please keep the noise down after 11 PM, and please, **no fireworks** There are swings for kids under our deck and in the back yard. We have a trampoline and two zip lines, but due to liability, we ask guests to sign a liability waiver if you would like to use it, and let me know prior to your visit so I can provide the waivers. *Please read “House Manual” section for important information about our property *** Other things to note IMPORTANT ***Please do not allow children in the pond. It is for irrigation, and it is four feet deep. It slopes down quickly. ***Children must be supervised at all times around the pond, and instructed not to enter the pond. *** ***We have an above ground pool in the backyard for our personal use. We keep the ladder away from the pool when not in use. Please keep children away from the pool for their safety. *** There is a neighborhood across the street from our home, with walking trails and streets in a family neighborhood that is a pleasure to take a stroll or ride bikes in. In a review from a previous guest they stated “be careful of extra fees”. There are no extra or surprise fees in my apartment, other than the fees Airbnb charges, of which I have no control. In the past, I have had burn stains from curling irons on carpet and bedding stained beyond repair, so we ask that guests be mindful of our property. The security deposit is there for these purposes. Our loft apartment is a lovely place with easy access and many amenities, in a great private location, minutes from the beautiful Traverse City area.
