The space This special house was built for my family as well as to share with others and this year has seen some new additions. The property has classic timeless appeal with charming wood work details, wide plank pine wood floors and comfortable furniture. The gourmet kitchen, great room and master bedroom are on the 2nd floor with 3 bedrooms and the garage and laundry on the first floor. As I love to cook the kitchen is fully equipped and works well for several cooks at the same time with a nice island and 4 barstools at the kitchen counter as well as the dining table and game table. The property is wonderful in the summer as well as winter. Outside spaces include a spacious deck with bar b que, large hot tub, table and chairs a new lush lawn surrounded by flowers /picnic area with bocce ball court (not official size), ping pong table, and various seating areas outside which we have carved between the trees. There is equipment for all sports activities at the house as well as beach chairs and umbrellas. The property backs up to the national forest. It is a 20 minute walk or quicker bike ride to the well managed north Tahoe Regional Park. In the park you will find tennis courts, pickle ball, an exercise course, several children’s playgrounds, basketball, handball and a backboard for tennis. We have equipment at the house for Bocce, pickleball, ring toss, ping pong as well as beach chairs and umbrellas. We are just finishing landscaping the adjacent property and hope to share it with guests this fall. We are bordered by homeowners open space there is a very natural and private feel to the outside spaces. As the master is on the 2nd floor this house also works well for a couple as well as a larger group. Bathrooms have playful custom tiles, we have a large game and book collection as well as dvd's and CD's. and speakers throughout the living and master bedroom. We have serious family allergies to pets and smoking and must be very strict with these limitations. Guest access Great location between Northstar and the Lake, two level blocks off Hwy 267. Most central location to all Tahoe ski resorts... 10 minutes to Northstar, 20 to Truckee, 25 to Squaw and Alpine. 15 to Diamond Peak, 20 to Mt. Rose. 60 mins to South Shore. In the summers we like to spend time in the North Tahoe Regional Park. There is a asphalt bike path through the woods behind the house which leads to the Park where there arae 5 tennis courts, many hiking and biking trails, picnic areas throughout the woods, bar b que facilities, Frisbee golf and a para-course among other activities. In the winter one can cross country ski out the back door and pick up the path into the developed cross country ski area which also features a sledding hill with daily sled rentals or a small fee to bring your own. In summer great beach access at Kings Beach which is just at the bottom of Hwy 267. Lots of wonderful restaurants and activities year round in Lake Tahoe. Driving times are 20 minutes from Truckee, 2 minutes from Kings Beach, 14 from Tahoe City, 10 from Incline. Other things to note Mandatory 12% occupancy tax which I collect and turn in to Placer County.
