Your hosts have been welcoming guests to their Rockland home for over 20 years The space This newly renovated private guest room is located on the 2nd floor of our beautiful historic B&B and is painted a cheery hazel blue with pops of magenta and cream giving it a fun vibe. The room features a queen bed, a desk, sitting area and a large closet. It has 12 foot ceilings and two large windows that face south and west with black-out panels included in the custom window treatments. The private attached bath, though compact, features a heated floor, plenty of plush towels, Gilchrist & Soames bath products (replenished daily), ample storage, fluffy bathrobes, a hair dryer and a whirlpool tub with shower (outfitted with a rubber duckie, of course!!). We provide complimentary high-speed internet, in room heat and air-conditioning, a flat screen TV (smart TV), a working fireplace, plenty of modern electrical outlets, bedside reading lights, and privacy locks. Your nightly rate also includes daily housekeeping service; access to a 24 hour guest pantry area with microwave, refrigerator, freezer and ice; morning juice and coffee service, daily homemade breakfast and homemade pie and ice cream; off-street parking and assistance to help you plan your stay. Guest access Guests at the Rockland Talbot House are welcome to make themselves at home in the many common areas of this beautifully restored B&B inn. Areas include: the Grand Parlor (common television, jigsaw puzzle, game area and comfy sitting area in front of the fireplace); Guest Pantry area; Sunroom; Dining Room; Side Porch and 2nd floor Library. The Guest Pantry area has a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses and coffee maker for guest use. It is stocked with an assortment of teas, coffee, sodas, ice and water. It is available to guests 24 hours a day and the best part is you don’t have to do the dishes! This is also where you can find our homemade pie and ice cream to enjoy! The Rockland Talbot House offers private, off-street parking on the property for all of our guests. We value our guests’ safety. Each guest will be given their own keys to their individual guest suite and a personal remote access code to the outside doors. We have security cameras and keep all outside doors locked at all times for the privacy and safety of our guests. The property also has a full sprinkler system, and fire, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm systems that are monitored 24 hours a day. Other things to note We believe our vacation rental Air “B&B” offers the best of both worlds for travelers. At the Rockland Talbot House guests enjoy the amenities, daily housekeeping, personal touches and safety of a B&B and the privacy and independence of a vacation rental property. Some travelers think all lodging properties are inspected and life safety compliant or they could not rent a space. This is NOT always true. As a licensed B&B property, our vacation rental property is FULLY LICENSED, INSPECTED and COMPLIANT with local, state and national life safety standards for lodging properties by the City of Rockland and compliant with food service certification for the State of Maine. This means that our guests can sleep well knowing their safety is valued and protected. The home has been recently renovated. All of our electric wiring is new and up to code; stairs and egresses are life-safety compliant; the building is completely hard wired with interconnected smoke and carbon monoxide detectors; there is a sprinkler system; emergency lighting and signage automatically acitvates in case of an event and the owners reside immediately next door. When you compare properties, please remember we include daily housekeeping, a homemade breakfast, coffee service and homemade pie and ice cream in our rates. Other than taxes, there are no other add-on fees.
