Peaceful cabin on a beautiful horse farm
Idyllic Vermont, there's something for everyone! The Bunkhouse is a cozy and peaceful off-the-Grid cabin but with all the comforts of home. Located in rural central Vermont. Limitless activities: Hiking, biking, swimming in our pond, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling (BYO), sledding, equine trail riding (bring your own horse only) or just relax in our comfortable cabin or by the pond. We are in a remote, quiet area- perfect for recharging and reconnecting! We love it here and think you will too! The space The Bunkhouse is a great place for you to come and enjoy a Vermont vacation. The cozy, western-themed cabin consists of four comfortable rooms and sleeps up to eight people. It contains a living room with a couch and a futon, a fully equipped kitchen for all of your cooking and dining needs, the bunk room with six bunks and a double bed, as well as a full bathroom with a stand-up shower. There is a large deck overlooking the pond with a BBQ grill and table and chairs. A nice fire pit awaits you down by the pond. Outdoor shower for spring, summer and fall guests. ** For winter stays, guests must have a good snow vehicle to get here; 4WD and snow tires** ** If you’re bringing a dog please let us know in advance as we have our own dogs, cats and horses on property as well as a toddler. Well behaved pets only please! Do not leave dogs unattended inside the Bunkhouse. Guest access Guests can explore the miles of wilderness trails right from the Bunkhouse doors. We have a large deck to enjoy the view of the pristine pond and cook a BBQ meal on the grill. There's a fire pit down by the pond as well. There are safe accommodations for guests to bring their own horses, up to 8 at a time. Also have a large outdoor riding ring. Ideal for camping with your horse! The pond is a perfect place to play and have fun in and around! We have Floaties, kayaks, a floating dock and comfy chairs to relax in and soak up some rays. In the winter there's plenty of fun to be had, like sledding down the driveway or in our fields. Ice skating on the pond is also a blast. Located minutes from VAST (public snowmobile trails), bring your snowmobile and ride the beautiful trails of Vermont. * Please obey all “No-Trespassing” and “No horse” signs on property abutting the Bunkhouse. Well behaved pets only please! Do not leave dogs unattended inside the Bunkhouse. Other things to note -Do NOT use WAZE app to get here or older GPS’, they will lead you to impassible roads. Please contact Kelly for directions or follow them from this listing under “guest resources” section. - We recommend printing directions ahead of time and using cell phone GPS'. Because of our remote location, cell phones should not be relied upon for directions as service is often unavailable. If you have your phone gps navigating BRFORE you lose service, that usually works. - Vermont Rooms and Meals Tax of 9% is included in the price. - WiFi can be spotty- use in front room or out in driveway of BH. There’s no TV or cell service in the Bunkhouse. We want you to come unplug, relax and enjoy your friends and surroundings! WiFi can be used from our house however if need be. ** Drive with caution please as we have a toddler, dogs, horses and cats who all might be on driveway at anytime. *** In the winter, we strongly recommend your vehicle to have 4 wheel drive and/or good snow tires. We are located in a remote area of Vermont with no cell service, and winter can be unpredictable. ** If you’re bringing a dog please let us know in advance as we have our own dogs, cats and horses on property as well as a toddler.
