The Inn has 3 very separate, cozy Suites. This Tao Suite is a spacious, cozy Suite: queen-bed & bthrm (shwr/bathtub). Complimentary breakfast items in the kitchen. (Kitchen for light use - no stove/oven due to regulations, but rather a microwave). Dining room area and wide porch allow for 6-feet distancing. We are cleaning/disinfecting, strictly according to AirBnb Guidelines. WiFi (high-speed). Hottub (privately-scheduled time). Campfire area (comp. wood). We know you will enjoy! This Suite has its own private area, with its own bathroom (with combined bathtub/shower). Two keys allow for easy access and yet privacy (to the Inn and then to your private, specific Suite). Linens and quilts are provided; towels and toiletries are also provided. There is a beautiful view of a wooded, park-like area, outside your own windows. Guests have access to the surrounding area, with cedar, douglas fir and western hemlock trees. There are lawns and wild-flowers, throughout the area, for your enjoyment. There is also a campfire area with complimentary wood supplied. Guests also have access to the wrap-around Veranda., with a propane fireplace. The Hottub is also in a private, park-like setting, with private scheduling, as well. We will provide you with the combination to the locked-box to obtain your keys, just 2 to 3 days prior to your arrival!! We have a check-in of 4 pm or later and a check out at 11 am...we wish for you to have a positive stay... Ralph and I are available to help orient guests to the Hottub, their Suite and the surrounding area. Yet, we allow privacy, as some Guests want primarily rest and relaxation. We also provide a Welcome Notebook, in your Suite, that has 35-pages of information about hikes and sights in the area (written by a woman, who hiked this area for years). Also, even though there are three very separate Suites in the Inn, there are the common areas of the living room, dining room and kitchen; yet, Guests have been amazing at respecting the regulations for safety during this challenging time. They have respected themselves and one another. Often, Guests come and go at such different times, they don’t even see one another. Also, Guests choose how much they would like to interact or not. Yet, often Guests learn a lot from one another, about favorite trails, restaurants and other places to see. It is a win-win... Ashford is an enjoyable, alpine village by Mt. Rainier, with a sports shop (owned by world-renowned climbers), artists' shops, two small grocery stores, one with gas station, as well as, several highly enjoyable restaurants (moderately priced). We are also only 6 miles from the main entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, which has Longmire and Paradise (and many trails, as well as café/restaurants, museum and gift shops). We are only about 1 and 1/2 hours form Seattle; yet, we are in a country-setting by Mt. Rainier. We don't have a transit system in our area, so automobiles, motorcycles or bicycles are needed... There are car rentals, generally located in and by the SeaTac Airport. There is also a shuttle service offered to and from the Airport, if a person is coming to attend climbing lessons. It is more to-and-from Ashford, without transportation into the Park (except through then, the climibing expedition companies, such as RMI and International Climbing). By popular request, we offer complimentary, self-service breakfast items in the kitchen (on the counter and in the Guest’s refrigerator). Guests like this style, as they awaken at such different times. (Some people like to arise early to hike and others like to sleep in a bit later, especially after a flight). The breakfast generally consists of bagels, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, quiche, waffles, cereal, juice and condiments (peanut butter cups, jam, cream cheese), coffee, tea, hot chocolate, creamers and sugars. We feel so honored to have such wonderful Guests. So, at the same time you will have the opportunity to talk with one another or remain more private (totally up-to-you). You will likely really enjoy your Mt. Rainier experience.
