Stay in a 1970s Vintage Blue Bird Wanderlodge Bus we call The Hermitage Manatee. It's a 35ft camper perfect for the adventurer who is open to TINY living and escape to nature. It is located on a private acre section of our property next to our home. Plenty of parking for your motorcycle, trailer or truck. We are located outside Ocala Nat'l Forest, 2.5 mi. from a National Wildlife Refuge, 4 mi. from DeLeon Springs State Park and 6 mi. from Stetson in Downtown Deland and close to Daytona Beach. The space Life is slow here and relaxed. Reconnect while disconnecting from tech and enjoy a simpler time, the stars and nature. The bus is over 40 years old. Many of the surface coverings are original vintage vibe and character. You are surrounded completely by nature and wild. You are very likely to hear or see deer, owls, gopher tortoise, bears, rabbits, squirrels, a variety of birds and much more. Trees are draped in Spanish moss. There is a variety of flora, fauna, and moss covered surfaces and trees to discover. Fungi, mushrooms and mulch adorn the the camp. If you are apprehensive of nature this space might not be for you. If you love nature and adventure, this may be the perfect space. Not suitable for pets or kids, grape vines surround the bus and we are on rare hilly Florida terrain. There are uneven surfaces, terrain changes some climbing is required. We are located outside the Ocala Nat'l Forest. 2.8 mi. from a National Wildlife Refuge, 4 mi. from the natural springs of Ponce DeLeon Springs State Park and 6 mi. from Stetson University in Downtown Deland. Blue Springs State Park is 25mins away. Enjoy award-winning restaurants, bars, pubs and a brewery to enjoy. Add to your adventure with DeLand Skydiving or Axe Throwing at Wise Axe. We are close to Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach to enjoy the ocean. NASCAR and bike week is nearby. 90mins to Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld. Guest access Access to all living quarters of the bus and immediate surrounding area. T drivers seat and dashboard is off limits. Other things to note Wifi: There is a wifi booster on the bus. Interior ceiling height in bus ranges from 6 foot 5 inches 6 foot 4 inches on side. Tall people may be in contact with the ceiling. Guests must be able to climb 3 stairs to enter the bus. Air conditioner in bus make a white noise hum, it is not silent. Indoor stove/propane does not function in this vintage bus. Cooking can be done on a provided outdoor gas burners, outdoor charcoal grill or microwave. Cell phone reception is reported to be weak in the area 1-2 bars for AT&T. 1-2 bars for T-Mobile and Verizon. No unregistered guests.
