Welcome to The Goat Loft! We offer a private country-cottage-farmhouse feel with friendly goats and sheep to pet on our 13-acre farmette nestled in the woods. It’s quiet and relaxed and feels remote while being 15 minutes from everything.

Enjoy morning coffee on the deck overlooking the goats and sheep and great star watching at night to the songs of tree frogs. Dining, shopping, history, breweries, wineries, killer cycling, kayaking and river fun, and hiking all minutes away!

Looking for a quiet getaway in the woods and in the country on a farm close to the mountains, rivers, and hiking but minutes away from everything?

Welcome to The Goat Loft!

There’s a bit of everything for anyone all minutes away.

Fishing and kayaking on Shenandoah and Potomac rivers, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, miles of scenic cycling, historic Harpers Ferry, Leesburg, and Charlestown, breweries, wineries, vineyards, shopping, dining, and so much more is only 15 minutes away.

Hey, cyclists! The cycling here here in Western Loudoun County is fantastic. Scenic roads, gravel grinding, rolling hills for miles and miles… I don’t do as much I used too, but I can recommend short rides and long rides.

Or just chill out on the private deck with a huge shade umbrella and comfy deck furniture and watch the animals. Do some yoga or meditate. It’s quiet and low stress back here.

Maybe take a long walk down the gravel road and talk to the horses and cows.

At night the star watching from the deck is great and the songs of the tree frogs are amazingly zen.

We’ve got 300mbps high speed internet and WiFi so if work calls, you’re covered. But screw work!

The goats and sheep are super friendly and curious. Feel free to let the kids feed the animals the animal cracker we left on the counter. Or apples or greens from the grocery store. They love leaves from the trees too!

Farm life is farm life. Mud season is real. Bugs and smells and hunting season all happen. We do live here and there’s equipment and half finished projects and at sometimes a bit of mess. But it is our little slice of Heaven and we’re happy to share it with you!

Full use of the separate apartment excluding the locked armoire located in the closet. Full private kitchen and bathroom facilities. You’re welcome to walk around and explore the farm as well.

Due to people taking advantage of our hospitality, You may not invite your friends and relatives over. If they aren’t on the reservations, they may not be here with out permission. Should you choose to do this anyway, you will be asked to leave and you will not receive a refund of any kind.

All the goats have names. There’s always a little bag of animal crackers on the counter so you can feed the goats. They can also eat apple slices, salad greens, carrots, and they’ll steal your popcorn. Please ask beyond these listed.

If you have any questions or something just holler.

Harpers Ferry, Charlestown, Berryville, Leesburg and Middleburg are all about 15-25 minutes away, the Shenandoah River is right over the mountain, and there’s great cycling or plenty of hiking along the Appalachian Trail via 3 different access points all minutes away.

Restaurants and small town shopping in Purcellville 5 miles away and a seemingly endless number of wineries, breweries, and distilleries within 20 minutes.

We’re set back about a half mile from the road and tucked into the middle of 50ish acres of woodlands. It’s really quiet here and at night it's probably darker than you might be used to.

It’s the country, yet everything is about 15ish minutes away. You’re going to want to drive although there is tons of great cycling or take a walk to B-Chord brewery just 7.5 miles down an historic and scenic dirt road.

We’ve tried to offer and stock everything you’d need, but just holler if you have a question or a need!
