Oak Hill Private Suite Historic North End
A recently renovated private suite in historic home only 1.5 miles from town center. Welcoming ‘walking’ neighborhood of architecturally diverse homes inspired by the Garden City Movement of early 20th C. Near both Interstate 81 and 70, Museum of Fine Arts, Whitetail Ski Resort, Antietam, Gettysburg, Frederick, C&O bike trail, wineries and outlets. Guests have enjoyed stays for tourism, conferences, trainings, the MD Int’l Film Festival, JFK 50, family visits and artist retreats. Built in 1924, this brick home was converted from a duplex to a single-family home which provided the opportunity for a private suite in the expanded space of “two homes”. Being fans of travel ourselves, as hosts , we enjoy the opportunity to share our locale with other travelers. Your private suite includes an outdoor patio, private parking and access to a seasonal garden. The neighborhood has sidewalks for walking or jogging. You are a two-minute walk from Gordons Grocery, a quaint, 3-generation family store with specialty snacks, beer/wine, and necessary staples. We like to say ‘hello’ if the timing works but generally our guests enjoy privacy, including contactless entry. We are , however, available on the property to assist and answer any questions about your stay or the area. Sidewalks and old trees make this a great walking and jogging neighborhood. The city bike trail goes through the neighborhood too. It’s quiet. And there’s a lot of birdsong. Many shops only five minutes away. Once you are on Oak Hill Avenue turn onto Magnolia then first right into alley and you will turn into parking space beside fence of 3rd house on right. You’ll face your suite, #1208 We are close to museums, parks, shopping outlets, historical sites and The Maryland Theatre.
