Description
Walk to the beach from this new architecturally designed studio loft - tucked away in our beautiful backyard. Think "urban barn" with lots of natural light. Our neighborhood is charming and quiet - yet minutes from downtown! The studio is NEWly renovated and located behind our 1918 craftsman home. Open up the large modern barn doors and you will find a cool living space to enjoy. We prefer longer stays - generally a 5 day minimum. One well trained dog might be accepted. Please Inquire The space The space: Architectually designed with a lovely mix of wood, concrete and steel. Just under 400 s/f. There is a cozy sitting area, a place to eat and look out at the garden, and a small kitchenette with butcher block counters and a big ole farm sink. The kitchenette is basic and not designed for extensive cooking. There is a countertop convection oven and hot plates to boil, undercounter refridgerator, coffee maker and most other basics for light prepping/cooking and eating. The bathroom has an open shower and heated tiled floors. The sleeping loft for two is skylit and cozy. A comfy queen sized bed over a beautiful Oriental rug. Please note: You must be able to climb the ladder up there. It is sturdy and on rollers. The backyard is shared, but generally yours. There is a gas fire pit with chairs and new pendledton woolen blankets stored in the studio to keep you extra toasty. There are many mature trees on the property. We do have a dog, a sweet small dog named Bruce. You might find him snooping around the backyard, as he is curious. If dogs are not your thing, just let us know. He is a bit timid around others.
