The Navarro Guest House is situated on the Mendocino coast with an unobstructed view where the Navarro River reaches the Pacific Ocean. Conveniently located 15 minutes south of Mendocino, the guest house features the best view on the property with a newly updated bathroom. The hot tub and BBQ/ Fire pit area is shared with the main house which sits above. This is a place to reflect, relax and recharge. Well behaved pets welcome! 240 and 140V plugs available for car charging - bring your own plug. The space This guest house can accommodate up to 3 guests. We can make exceptions to allow up to 4 with prior approval. For maximum comfort, 2 guests is a more ideal number as the guest house is small. Please note the bed and room situation: The bedroom has 1 king bed and the main room has a full size pull out couch. There is a door to the bedroom. About the Navarro Guest House: This cozy space features everything needed to enjoy a relaxing trip to the coast. The kitchen sits at one end, the living room is in the middle and the bedroom is at the other end. The bathroom has been recently updated featuring a light-up mirror and overhead "rain shower" with option for handheld shower head. The living room includes a Smart TV, gas burning fireplace and couch with full size pull-out futon. Great for one couple or a family with 1 child. The dinning table has seating for four. Includes Smart TV but no cable. All rooms have direct access to the deck and the best views on the property. Enjoy the sunrise or pull the curtains if you want to sleep in! The kitchen is simple with gas burning stove, essential appliances (no dishwasher) and everything you need to cook a nice meal. Or, pick from several close restaurants from our guest book for a lovely meal out. Our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay from your morning cup of coffee to listening to the waves break as you take in the view from the luxurious king size Saatva mattress. This secluded property is shared with the main house that sits about 100 feet above. The shared area includes a lower deck with 7 person hot tub and fire pit area. There is also a horseshoe pit and hammock. There is a 1/4 mile trail to the beach but the last 15 feet is down a steep rock. The beach can be accessed, however proceed AT YOUR OWN RISK. For easier beach access, drive 5 minutes to the Navarro State Park beach (other side of the river) or any beach north including the famous Glass Beach in Fort Bragg. There is plenty of hiking including the Navarro Point Preserve and Coastal Trail within a 5 minute drive. Take a hike, then soak in the hot tub and get cozy roasting marshmallows next to the fire. Oh, and don't forget to breath in that fresh ocean air and enjoy that view. This is the place to escape the city or take a retreat from the heat inland. The sound of waves (and seals!) amplify off the beach so you may just want to relax, listen and watch for whales. Other things to note **PETS** We have furry friends and would love to welcome yours - so just LET US KNOW (1 dog maximum). There is no extra fee, we just ask that you follow these rules: - All dogs must be completely house trained and out of the “chewing on everything” stage. No puppies. - Please let us know the type of dog you have and if they are friendly to other dogs in your booking message. This allows us to check if the other house has a dog. - All “doggie business” is to be done OUTSIDE. No indoor pee mats. Please pick-up after your pets - We ask that dogs remain in the living room and kitchen area and we have gates to help keep them out of the bedrooms. - No animals in the hot tub or bathub * Note: the yard is not fenced in and there are ticks along the California coast. **PER PERSON & USAGE FEES and TAXES** Note: for more than 3 guests, a $25/ night per guest + bnb fees is automatically added. NO parties, weddings, unapproved filming/photography or events allowed. Prices include 11% Mendocino County Transient Occupancy taxes.
